Product Design: Does Video = Increased Percieved Value?

Do you find your video products sell at a higher price than your text/image based products even though the content is the basically the same?

Over all do you believe that video increases the perceived value of your products?

If you were to buy a product would you expect to pay more for it because it was in a video format?

As a general rule, video is perceived to have a higher perceived value than an eBook.

Screen capture videos have even higher perceived value than face on videos because screen capture videos present "how to" information. How to information has a higher perceived value than things which are more conceptual which is what is frequently talked about using face on videos.

Screen capture videos are easy to create and produce using Camtasia.

Yes, because some people like to watch. It gives them the feeling that they recorded a private mentor.

Yes. Everything useful that you offer extra can increase the perceived value. Not to mention that video is hot nowadays.

Yes, I would expect that. However, there are different kind of videos:
    - videos where someone reads and comments some slides (they are actually slideshows with sounds, even if they are saved in avi format)
    - videos that contains animations. For instance, these one is one of the best I've seen about PLRs. It's an actual video. I would pay more for such videos (Unfortunatelly it was free ...)
