Could someone show me what I am missing

Hi

I am trying to edit my style.css file on a new WP site so that it is centered and takes up more of the screen and I just can't seem to get it right.

Would someone be willing to look at this and give me a point as to what I am missing? I want to increase the width of the header, main body area for posting and the right and left sidebar.

I have tried modifying the width in many cases and it just isn't working.
