WHAT? Where did my entire site go?

This is a huge problem.

I have a wordpress site at tamingthemarkets dot com

I was editing a page.

Next thing I know, every single page and post is gone.

Anyone ever seen this before? What is going on?

I have almost a year of posts in there and some well converting squeeze pages...

I did not link to it intentionally so that Google won't crawl it, hopefully.

Anyone ever seen this before?

Contact your web hosting company and ask them to restore yesterday's backup of your site...

Oh that's a bit of a worry, did you have a backup? Always have a backup of your site, but like tpw said, contact your hosting company and they should be able to restore it.

Yeah I agree with the others, contacting you hosting provider if you have one would be your best bet. And if you don't have a backup I highly recommend doing one right now.

Install this plugin to have your database backed up daily: WordPress › WordPress Backup « WordPress Plugins

Good luck getting that restored. Most hosts backup monthly or weekly, so you should be able to get most of your stuff back.

I still have the database and the website itself on backup. I have no idea how to do anything with it.

Checked my database and it printed out an error of some sort. Here's what it looks like:

tamingt_wrdp1.wp_posts warning : Table is marked as crashed error

Is this fixable without a backup?

Sorry, perhaps this should've gone in a different section of the forum!

Word to the wise -- never publish your DB name on an open forum
that is very unwise as it gives me a good start to hacking that site. Best you upgrade the password to something with 16 characters or better yet change the db name, username and password

if you or anyone else need to ask questions replace the normal info with a *** like they do on your credit card statements

Edit - Better yet ask your ISP to change your username for that specific domain

For some really secure password try https://www.grc.com/passwords.htm

Thats a big time problem men.
I think the Hosting domain has a back-up of your previous website.
Try to contact them right away.
You might have save it when everything was accidentally cut.

That sucks. I had hackers messing with a site of mine a few years ago. Not fun.

      Tell me, how big...?

      Anyway, to the OP!
      Try this
      1. Log in to your phpMyAdmin via your cPanel.
      2. Select the database with the crashed table.
      3. Put a checkmark next to each crashed table.
      4. Select "Repair table" from the "With selected" drop down at the bottom of the list.
      5. See if it gets fixed.
If not, you can still contact your host

Seeing as how happy you are that Istvan solved your problem, it wouldn't hurt to say thanks. If you did it via PM my apologies, just saying.

Ahh! one time I installed a plugin and for some reason it deleted all my posts! Most frustrating thing ever. Hope you can figure it out.
