Becoming an e-book writer?

What qualities you need to sell your own product in a massive volume? I want to do that in the future...but I think you need to market yourself so people buy your e-book in big quantities and would need to upload it on clickbank right? Also, does anybody know a free or paid software that would help me write quality e-books?

    Open Office ( a free program found here: Open Office)will allow you to convert a Word style document into a PDF ebook.

      A short answer - you need to be a professional.

      Another short answer - you need to:

      1. find a hungry market
      2. find out what precisely they want
      3. compile an excellent resource solving that problem
      4. give it away for free so that you build yourself a brand
      5. find another problem and do the same, but get paid for it this time

    I completely DISAGREE with you. First off, there are some good ebook software programs out there. ebook pro is one of them. Although it's easiest to write it in MS Word or Open Office and convert it to a PDF file.

    Secondly, you don't have to have "talent" to write an ebook. Just knowledge and a desire to write, along with you doing proper research. I don't know where you get your thinking on this one, but it's completely wrong.
