A Question on Video and Document Marketing

My question is two-fold basically:

First for Video Marketing, since we cannot put anchor texts in the description of the videos, is my assumption correct that the most we can get are url backlinks to our site and direct traffic coming from the video itself?

Secondly for Document Marketing, I understand that we can place anchor texts in the document itself. Can someone verify if they are indeed treated as backlinks as I have done some tests and it appears that it is not recognized as a valid backlink. (I used backlinkbooster.com to test and it did not recognize it) Having said that, how can Document Marketing actually help you in building more backlinks?

    Hey.

    I can certainly help you out on the Video side of marketing.

    Your assumption is correct. Using video uploading websites is a great way to get backlinks to your site. Make sure you link the video's to your website as well and that they are able to be viewed there. As far as optimization goes, make sure your website address is at the top of EVERY video description so it's the first thing the viewer will see.

    I just can't resume my video marketing without validating that I really can't put an anchor text backlink into it. So I guess a normal url backlink should do then.

    The main benefit of video marketing is how
    easy it is to rank quality videos on Google's
    first page.

    The quantity of video content is much lower
    than text content so ranking top on Youtube
    isn't much difficult either.

    Make sure you finish your videos with strong
    call to actions urging people to visit your site.
