Are these really ALL do follow links??:confused:

You mean for every question I answered today and listed my site as the "source" I get a backlink?

I highly doubt it but I could be wrong I would of thought if Yahoo was a do-follow site the PR spammers would of totaled yahoo answers with bots.

Well you can only post links if you are a "level 2" and have answered a bunch of questions already. That is how they stop spam bots. But I searched on yahoo answers itself this question and many people said yes.

Does Yahoo Answers Include Do-Follow Backlinks? - Yahoo! Answers

And if you install this plugin and right click to turn it on, it says the links on the Yahoo site are do follow.
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5687

Also if you install "SEO Quake" for Google Chrome (for some reason it works better in Google Chrome) and turn on "highlight no follow links" the links at Yahoo Answers are not highlighted.

They are not as far as I recall, but you can still get some traffic ... not sure if it is worth all the effort though. I used to answer like 5-10 questions per day - all legit, etc. for probably about a month and got only a trickle of traffic. Could be good for selling products as I see that a lot of people do that, e.g.

I don't know if they are nofollow or dofollow...

If they have traffic going through them, then the nofollow are fine...

But I hear that the community over there hits the ban button faster than we do here at the WF... LOL

They especially despise we Internet Marketers...

You can try it and sometimes yahoo will allow you to put you links. But in some cases, they gonna warn you, remove your articles, and suspend your account.

You can put them in the "Source" box, not in the main answers box. I've been doing it for several days with good quality answer and my same domain (and posting nested pages in my domain) and they haven't said a word to me.

It's also giving me some good traffic too for my particular niche (which is a free information seeking niche)

This is exactly the right way to do it...

Give a useful answer, put your link in the source box, preferably a deep link to further free information related to the topic.

"Do-follow" or not, you are building multiple links from an authority site plus you get the traffic if you do it right. And that does not suck...

As for using browser extensions to check for no-follow, it's better than nothing but not foolproof. There's a way to make outbound links no-follow at the server level without having to put the tag on the page.

Whether YA does this or not, only they could tell you...
