Hi all,

I have just signed up on here and thought I would say hello. There is an awesome amount of information on this forum.

My name is Peter Cunningham and I am from the UK. I have been doing internet marketing now for just under 2 years and am still enjoying it as much as when I first started - although I know a lot more now than I did back then including not what to do!

At present I am running four sites - three are around one theme and the other is altogether different.

The main three are around a passion of mine which is saltwater aquariums. I have been keeping these for many years now and am asked all the time for advice. My father also keeps them and between us we have over 40 years experience in the hobby. The sites started off when we decided to write a couple of books to help beginners in the hobby. The website salt-water-aquarium.com is used to try and sell these books.

Once the books were created we then wanted to obviously drive traffic to this site so we started a blog. This blog has grown into a new site which is aquaristsonline.com. This site has a multitude of things for the visitor. It has the blog where we produce daily articles, a forum, a community social area (PHP Fox), an articles directory and an EBay store (BANS). The store is not yet complete and needs some content to it but it is earning money - albeit a low amount at the moment. The traffic to this site is slowly growing and we are starting to get noticed in this niche. At the moment we get in the region of just over 1000 UV's a day.

The last site out of the three aquarium ones is a new addition. This is aquacompare.com which is basically a price comparison site for the aquarium niche. This is driven by the price comparison script by Kaon Software and has various datafeeds loaded. It is only about a month or so old but is doing ok - getting about 500 UV's a day at the moment and slowly growing and is starting to earn a decentis amount.

The other site which is totally non-aquarium related is one that I purchased. It is fusebid.com and is basically an auction site to buy and sell domain names, templates, websites etc. I have to be honest that I have not done a great deal to the site since I purchased it a while ago. I have added a blog and modified the theme however I have not yet started driving traffic to it - been busy with Aqua Compare!

Anyway just wanted to say hello - I look forward to being part of this forum and am sure that I can learn a great deal and hopefully contribute in some form or other.

It would be great to hear any feedback you have in relation to any of my sites and if any of you have any ideas as to how I can gain more traffic, sales etc then that would be fantastic to hear.

Thanks

Peter
