Is this worth a try?

I want to start a blog in the Internet Marketing and how to make money niche which i would write post on various topics,such as:Affiliate Marketing,PPC,SEO,ways to earn money online,ect.

I do feel that i have a fair bit of knowledge after browsing and learning on this forum and from some of the membership sites i 'am with,so i can write good content.

My aim with the blog is to make me money from affiliate sales and maybe adsense.

Do you think it is worth a try considering it is a very popular niche?

I ask because this is what i feel comfortable in blogging about and feel that i would never run out of ideas for content.

I would be very grateful to hear your comments.

    Your blog should always be something that you have an interest and passion about it (unless you plan on outsourcing the content). Remember there are a ton of these blogs as well run by some very respected IM'ers so try and give yours a point of difference and reason for visitors to come to your blog and subscribe to your rss.

    I think you should put this idea aside for now and start with something less competitive.

    When you become successful in a less competitive niche, you can then come back to the internet marketing niche.

    It's what I did and it works.

    The reason it works is because you'll learn useful skills and make mistakes at your first, less competitive niche. In other words: You'll learn to run a successful online business.

    You can take these skills you learned into the internet marketing niche, create something unique, and increase your chances of being successful.

      Why not go for it. Just remember to choose a specific niche within the Internet Marketing field. Everyone new to IM jumps on the how to make money niche immediately...its like a prerequisite.

      Listen blueclcl, if you write honestly and ethically and can write in a way that actually helps people then you owe it to yourself to share what you have with the world right?

      the problem is, the articles you are writing, even if they are the best articles in the world, will probably be up against hundreds of articles already written for those keywords, some with so many backlinks you'll never get high up in google ...

      it's all about the keywords and backlinks if you want google to be the way people find your articles ...

      i wouldn't expect to make money quickly in this niche ... i agree with above comment that you are better off in another less competitive niche for starters

    I do feel like i could offer my readers good information,but at the same time i really do need to start making money as for the past 2 years i have just been reading and not a lot of doing.

    My feeling is only one great website or blog makes big money out of maybe 10,000. YOu can make the odds much better in your favor if you study and figure a niche no one else has done that everyone wants to read about.
