What is Your Bounce Rate for Your Landing Page?

Ok, just something to discuss and share. I wonder what is the bounce rate of your landing page? Mine is 83% which I could have been lower. Yours?

This has been discussed and shared in this forum at least two other times in the last week...

I have seen them between 70% and 90% over the years...

My main site is hitting 74% right now...

My primary site is sitting about 45%. Have a think about why your users come to your site, what journey they take and how easy it is. Look at easy things done wrong like call to action below the fold or way too many elements on a page fighting for attention.

For that site, simply doing some testing and Google Analytics overlay dropped it from 85% to 45% (and has been consistently there for about 5 months).

Look at this way, you have 10 seconds to convince a user you can solve their problem.

    10 .... 9 ... 8 ...

      Exactly right...

If you can reduce your bounce rate from 80% to 60%, you are in essence doubling your chance of getting the sale, because your visitors who spend time on your site has increased from 20% to 40%...

      7 .... 6 ....5 ....

I have various bounce rates for all of my landing pages (I have quite a few!)
