How to make Wordpress 3.01 into a Private Blog?

INTERNET MARKETING

I want to setup a private blog in a subdirectory. I know how to set it up, set the privacy in Wordpress, and stuff like that.

I want to make it so that no one can view the blog unless they login. I will probably only have 2 or 3 users.

Can someone who has actually setup a private blog give some pointers?

Set it up just like normal, but add this plugin:

WordPress › Members Only « WordPress Plugins

I use it on several sites I own and it works like a charm.

I'm just wondering why you're making a blog which is of privacy? People do make strategies to broadcast and get their blogs visible to public, and here you are want to keep it private. I don't know what you're up to, but I hope you can share to us your view.

It is a good policy for those wondering. Sometimes there are certain thoughts or ideas that you need to make secret, but you want a blog to have a digital copy.

Remember, a blog is not just for the public. It started out as a journal/diary to maintain private thoughts. Just fyi.

A lot of ways you can do it.

Password protect the directory you load it in.

You can password protect your posts so no one can see them or make them private so only logged in people can see them.

Setting your posts – or entire blog – to private « WordPress.tv

You can add a plugin to lock it right down.
