I need some help with setting up a site for a ebook

Ok, so I have been reading up and I decided to create my own website. I found a place that gives me a 30 day trial and the monthly cost is $2.
I am a semi-strong writer so I decided to buy a PLR ebook and re-write it. My strength is computers, I know a good deal, and what I don't know I can find with google usually within 10 minutes. I prefer to work with a semi-finished product, even if I have to re-write half the ebook. This site looks decent. I am looking for a medium quality Ebook that I can bulk up. I don't want to pay too much money.
its called the PLRstore.com
Anybody have any tips? What do you think of my plan?

I've heard good things about that site.
As for writing an ebook, here's what many IMers say:
    1. Start recording yourself talking about your topic.
    2. Carry your recorder everywhere you go and speak into it at every opportunity.
    3. Get the recordings transcribed
    4. Organize the content.
    5. Blend it into the existing PLR content. (or not!)
    6. Have a decent book editor help you organize and trim the content.

I think you will find you have PLENTY of content of your own.

It is great that you have knowledge of computers, please keep in mind that other people also share these abilities at either a lower cost or at no cost at all.

Please remember that just because you have a $2.00 a month website, it needs to be coded properly to be found by the search engines. You don't want your website to become a type of "parking lot."

I commend you for taking steps with the creation of a website. Good luck working toward your goals.

I'm gonna go ahead and say the ebook is the least of your concerns.

You should be focusing on 1)sales letter that converts & 2)traffic generation

The ebook only affects the refund % at this point. Rewrite plr so its functional and move on. You can also get a better version of the book done after the fact. No matter how great your ebook is, you will not make money if you don't have traffic going to a page that converts so that should be your focus.

LauraJasmes, I understand that some people do that. I plan on selling the ebook for $3-5 dollars at first. I plan on having articles, instructional videos, other ebooks, and eventually maybe even a forum.
    My plan is
    1) work on the book to get it functional enough to sell and inform people
    2) work on my website and a get a few other articles, videos, tutorials going.
    3) get the website up and running and attracting traffic.
    4) re-work the ebook, give the upgraded version for free to people who already bought the ebook.
    5) start a newsletter, increase content, etc etc
    6) add another ebook

Thats a loose plan that I am going to follow. I hope that it will take about a month or two to get up and running, and producing traffic. Then another two - four months to get it profitable enough to make a few bucks. Thats a really optimistic timeline I bet it will take more like 8 months or so.

EDIT: oh good lord. This ebook I am rewriting has sooo many problems. Written by professionals my butt. The latest problem has to do with the authors inability to count...
I bought a cheap $1.25 PLR ebook called "Understanding Computer Operating Systems"
I wouldnt recommend buying it unless you plan to re-write half of it.
