Can a TrustPass member from Alibaba be trusted?

Here's a series of email I have been contacting with a seller in Alibaba

Do you think it's fishy?

She says she's a TrustPass member of Alibaba.
Which she actually is.

But the name on Alibaba is of her associate
It was: Mr Syed Mujhad Hussain
Location of the person in Alibaba is from: Pakistan
The IP address comes from US

However I am not quite convinced I can trust her yet.

Share your thoughts, opinions, experience.

Thanks,

Nicolas

Hi,

Got your contact from Alibaba (dot) com

I'm interested in your products.

Can you provide proofs that you won't cheat me if I buy from you?

Thanks

Nicolas

In the attach file you have my passport and my drive licence to see that i am a serious business women.

I tell you that you can have trust in me , because I'm a TrustPass Verifyed member on Alibaba and I will not risk this status for your money ... I have paid 2585 USD to upgrate and you think that I risk the status for your money .?

What is TrustPass?

TrustPass® (paid seller membership for companies outside China (mainland))

TrustPass® Membership is a paid service withadditional promotional advantages.
A TrustPass member is required to complete an authentication and verification procedure conducted by a third-party credit reporting agency. A TrustPass member is entitled to display a TrustPass icon to demonstrate credibility to buyers online.

Like you see I have been authentificated by Alibaba (dot) com .

Now if all is ok email me and let me know your order.

I wait your email.

Sincerely,
Julie Marie Gledhill

Hi,

Sounds great.

However, why do you use different name on Alibaba?

As: Mr Syed Mujhad Hussain

Also the passport is of UK.

Your IP address says you are from US..

But on the Alibaba you state that your country is Pakistan.

This is all very confusing.

Await your reply.

Regards,

Nicolas

Well I'm assuming that your even going through this hassle because something looks to good to be true - but your instincts are warning you.... listen to them.

I'm not sure how trustworthy a Trust pass is.

    But let me warn you.

My friend got scammed $1000 from that forum, and there are literally hundreds of Asian sellers who sell fake stuff but claim they are real.

    Be careful.

You're asking her impossible questions. If she says she's in country A, but her ip address is country B, why ask for an explanation? What do you realistically expect her to say.

Also, how would you feel if a prospective customer opened an enquiry with you by asking you how they can tell you aren't a fraudster?

I'm not saying she's legit. Just that you aren't asking the right questions.

    Trust your instincts.

While I understand there are legit reasons to use a masked IP, the fact this person claims to be from a location only listed in a fairy tale makes me massively suspicious.

I would drop this one like a bad habit. There are plenty more legit fish in the sea.

    Thanks guys!

    I think they are scammers.

So I won't be buying from them
