    There are a ton of methods you can use and all of them are discussed in length in this forum.

    Examples

    Pay Per Click
    Social Bookmarking
    SEO
    Video Posting
    List Building

    and my all time favourite Article Marketing.

    For more specific advice it would be interesting to hear what your business is about.

    There are lot's of ways for sure. The best thing to do is look into some of them and find out what works for you.

    Me personally I love to interact on great forum's like this and facebook these seem to be the best traffic sources for me.

    I also like article marketing and niche websites.

    My next endeavor will be a newsletter and this is really scratching the surface but this is where my interest lie so it's easy for me to take action.

      I wouldnt touch PPC with a ten foot pole... PPC is only beneficial for fortune 500 companies with gigantic marketing budgets.

      For the smaller players.. why not utilize the warrior forum? WSO's, networking, etc.. Just refrain from spamming... getting tossed from here is the worst thing that can even happen to an IM.

      Think about it.. $40 on adwords will get you 40-50 people..
      One WSO can get you hundreds or thousands if you manage it well and make an offer they can't refuse..

        I will have to disagree with this. PPC works great if you know how to run a campaign and the business, product, or service is right for it.

        I used to sell tangible medical equipment online. I started with a $30 PPC budget and scaled up. Within one week, I was spending over a thousand dollars day. My cost per sale was around $50, but the net for each sale averaged $125. I tested this against many other forms of advertising and PPC was the best ROI for that particular business.

        It really depends on what you are selling and whether or not you take the time to understand your own accounting.

        PPC works well if you work it. It's a matter of studying and knowing how to do the basic math of direct marketing. It's a super fast, super targeted method and in my opinion is superior to free traffic in every aspect but cost. However cost isn't a concern with PPC: your campaign HAS to be profitable or you simply stop it.

        The problem with PPC today is that Adwords have ruled out many markets related to opportunity seekers. But there are other PPC you can use, namely Facebook is getting up strongly. Yahoo/Bing are ok but clearly not the same traffic you get on Google, but Facebook offers you something that Google doesn't: local advertising and advertising based on likes. It will become even more powerful, we have seen just the beginning.

        WSOs are great but if you are outside the IM market they are almost useless.

        In many markets $40 on Adwords will get you ONE lead, not even a sale. It's not a rule, frankly getting leads at less than one dollar a piece is rare and not in markets that pay real money for what I know.

        But this isn't the point. You can spend $50 on a lead and have a 1% conversion rate if you make more than $5,000 on a sale. Actually even if you don't make that amount of money but if you compute the LTV of the customer and know the customer is worth more than the $5,000 it takes to acquire him (but I don't want to go into too much DM details).

        Free traffic is a IM gimmick, cool but I wouldn't build a business on it.
        PPC is direct marketing applied on the Internet, a heaven for internet marketers...

    PPC is definitely the fastest and most expensive way to get traffic. Although article marketing is a pain in the ass it definitely will do you justice!
