Question about Commission Junction links

Hi,
I tried searching for these questions, but wasnt finding any good/clear answers.

In regards to Commission Junction, if I use the Javascript code, is that similar to the link being "cloaked"...or no relation?

Is there any way to send a CJ affiliate link thru email? Or must I use the URL from my page with the product?

And lastly, I read a few times in various places that Google doesnt index pages with affiliate links. Is this true? Does using the javascript code on my page resolve this issue?

Thanks

Use javascript if you want to use their banners, but if you just want to use links then go to "get html" and copy out the url from the code (http://...).

Javascript isn't cloaking but search spiders can't read what the code is doing so see its as gibberish.
Most CJ merchants don't authorise email marketing - best option is to set up a webpage for the product you wish to promote via email and use the webpages url in the emial.
Javascript looks messy to search engines spiders so doesn't help ranking if you have a lot on page script. As far as html links go you really should always cloak them even if its just for the search engines

No it's not true in my experience. Google will index pages with affiliate links. However most people create redirects so their links don't look so much like affiliate links.
