Started an Internet Radio Guide website 3 weeks ago

Hello Warriors,

I am new here on Warrior Forum... The place is just fascinating! I started an Internet Radio Guide about three weeks ago that has a listing of around 20,000 stations from all over the world. So far, the site has started off pretty decent traffic wise. I know that Alexa does not really mean much these days but in three weeks we have jumped up to 80k USA ranking. The other ranking sites (Quantcast and Compete) still have not ranked us yet because we do not have enough history for their services yet.

I am having a difficult time figuring out what to do with advertising. So far, I have submitted my site to the usuals: Value Click, Burst Media, Casale Media, CPX Interactive and a few others but have been declined by all.

Currently, I am using Google Adsense and am generating a few bucks/day.

My question is for a site like mine, what would be the best approach for advertising? CPM, CPC, CPA?

We also have a little social network community, message forums, an arcade room, videos, celebrity gossip news and a cool Songs On Demand feature where you can type in an artist or title of the song and listen to it on demand.

If anyone has started an entertainment/music site in the past and have found a way to monetize your site.. I would love to hear from you.

Thanks for any advice!

You could try doing banner advertising on either a pay per click basis or on a set per month fee basis. Websites with a lot of traffic can charge a few hundred dollars a month for a banner ad to be displayed.
