Skewed results in Market Samurai and Google Keyword Tool?

So today I stumbled across a keyword that gets 14000 Global and Local searches per month according to google keyword tool, however when I change from broad to phrase and even to exact it dosnt change. Furthermore the SEO comp is zero, yet the commission im looking at is very nice, Im talking about a $50-100 per day type of thing. Has anyone else experienced wonky results with searches or did I stumble upon a golden nugget?

Thanks!

The Google keyword tool right now has seemed pretty accurate to me when comparing it's results to my actual analytics results (taking into account positions for keywords and reasonable ranges of clickthru rates for those keywords based on their position/description).

I've seen a few cases where broad/phrase/exact stay the same, but not very often at all.

Why not set up a Squidoo lense if you aren't seeing competition? You can get your traffic stats in the back end of Squidoo.

Set up something that won't cost any money and will only take a short time to set up, like previously mentioned, a Squidoo page, or as I prefer to use a Hubpage.

Maybe it is a fluke and nothing will happen but maybe you did get a nugget and you'll have a bunch of search engine traffic, then maybe you can build a site around that keyword and really get some value from it.

You'll never know til you try!

Hrm - not sure what could be happening here.

Market Samurai gets its data direct from the Google Keyword Tool - so if the results match, it's something at Google's end.

Is it a 1-word keyword? This would explain why Broad = Phrase...

No, its a keyword that has 2 words in it.
