This is where you can get links and traffic

Hi Warriors,

I was creating some content and ideas for videos to put on my blog and I thought I'd share the list with you. I'll be making videos for every strategy here, but I thought you might find the list useful as there are always questions here about how to get more links.

I've already posted more detailed specific strategies lately for using videos, bookmarking etc so I thought a nice simple list might be good for some people.

Here it is:

USFreeads
affiliates
Slide sharing (Slideshare.com)
Link Directories
traffic exchanges

Popups/Unders/Overs etc..

It took me 10 minutes to think of them and type them as I went and then about 20 minutes of "oh, and there's this one too" adding extras

    Nice list!

Just think pick any 10 you're comfortable with. Work it until you're getting a consistent 20 visitors per day, per source and you're getting 200 visitors per day, 6000 per month.

You're certainly not setting any traffic records but there are things you can accomplish with a consistent 6000 visitors per month. I'm just sayin...

Andy, it's amazing how many things there are out there if you just sit down
      and give it some thought.

You are without a doubt one of the most generous members when it comes
      to sharing your knowledge.

This list is awesome. There's a ton of traffic potential here.

I spent yesterday submitting to 1300+ online directories. Most have been accepted, too!

Does anyone know where the tipping point is regarding # of links and good organic search rank?

    You're welcome.

The tipping point depends on the niche. If you do a search for your keyword phrase(s) using quotes "" you'll see your main competition, which should give you a feel for how much you need to do.

I did a WF search for information on USFreeAds. This thread came up and since it's not too old, thought I'd throw a question in.

Are the free ads sites good for backlinks when it comes to SE love?

Hi Andy - a really great resource, I've been using some but not all of these. Been using craiglist quite a lot lately and its been a great way to get some traffic! You need to keep track of it though, you've given me at least another 30 methods to draw on! Thank you!

That's the plan, but I might make some special videos for the affiliate-marketing-bootcamp members also.

    Hi Mark,

There's always speculation about that particular issue, but consider this:

You have no idea about abusing search engines and you've just started an amazing business and created a great buzz about your opening day - if you've got people excited and ready to spread the word - isn't natural that there would be a big flurry of activity and lots of links suddenly pointing to your new site?

I don't think Google could possibly see people talking about your site as a bad thing - so I don't believe it would make sense to naturally penalise any business for having people talking about and pointing to their site.

However, if all of your new links come from places that you can directly affect - there are probably some tell-tale signs that would suggest you were trying to boost your own popularity and would be a different matter.
