A friend of mine wants to sell audio mp3's or podcasts. Rather than hosting on his own server, what is the best way to sell these downloadable products?

    Nanacast

Nanacast is one of the internet's best premium podcasting systems.

Our platform was used to deliver the premium mp3 content from the 2008 New Media Expo in Las Vegas.

Mike Koenigs co founder of Traffic Geyser uses our platform for publishing his consulting client's premium podcasts and also runs the Mixiv.com - Podcasting, Digital Product Delivery & Relationship Marketing Made Easy service which is another label of our platform.

Paul Colligan and Alex Mandossian use our platform to deliver their premium content for Podcast secrets and Paul Colligan also runs www.Premiumcast.com which is a nother label of our platform.

Paul is one of the most respected experts in the commercial/premium podcasting sphere and is co author of the Business Podcasting Bible.

Out platform allows you to securely deliver audio, video, and pdf via the itunes software without having to enlists in the itunes store.

It allows you to provide instant, time scheduled (autoresponder), real time broadcast, and personal broadcast content via podcast to your clients.

It can be as simple as selling one audio file, a series of scheduled episodes or an ongoing podcast.

It can be added to any site without installing a single script and you can even add a membership site/secure content pages as well.

Process via paypal, authorize.net, or 2checkout with recurring, trial based, mutli-payment, one time payment, fire sale, dime sale, limited quantity, dynamic pricing, and coupon code pricing systems available.

Plus adding physical on demand print and delivery options are fully integrated as well for times when you want to offer a physically shipped option.

Here are just a few examples of publishers who are using our platform to sell premium audio content/podcasts quite successfully:

The site has a shopping cart that can be customized. However, my friend prefers to reduce the bandwidth requirements for the domain.

From looking at the suggestions, seems his cheapest option may be an easy way to store his product and email the links to his products after purchase.

Does Amazon charge a base fee for their storage per month and then charge just for the bandwidth used? Does Itunes or Amazon have a solution for selling digital products?

There is a monthly fee for storage (real cheap) and a monthly fee for bandwidth each based on your usage. See Amazon's site for their fee listings.

Though iTunes and Amazon are not well suited for using as your ecommerce solution for digitally delivered products our system allows you to deliver your products via the iTunes sofware after processing and if you use our on demand print integration with vervante it will also instantly list your product in physical format on Amazon.com for sale.

I also noticed you used the word "cheapest..." when selecting an ecommerce solution the cheapest up front cost may mean huge costs on the back end in the form of higher discount rates and fees.

When you gauge things in term of front end costs you will often loose in the benefit of lower processing fees and business centralization and automation that could boost your bottom line and back end profits.

Nanacast integrates seemlessly with Kunaki and with Vervante.com for on demand print and fulfillment of books, binders, cds, dvds, combo packs etc.

Sure you can deliver modules or various "pieces" of a course via a nanacast account with one central login to access the ones purchased for your clients.

You can also bundle memberships where they buy one and sign up for others as trials which they can cancel any that they do not want to keep at any time but keep any they do want. This is similar to the "forced continuity" concept but you have the option to provide them one click cancellation at any time so there is no force and no need for them to contact customer service if they want to cancel.

As for 1shoppingcrap and Amember integration... its not necessary as nanacast can do pretty much everything they can do and much more. However if you want to use our external api to communicate with third party scripts we offer that as well.

Drop me a pm with your contact info (phone) and time zone/best time to call and I'd be happy to get in touch with you.
