I'm so lost, can you help point me in the right direction?

I've got my site getgroupies dot com that is geared toward gigging musicians. I have an ebook I wrote that is really good, along with the bonuses I offer with the purchase. I like the idea of video marketing, and eventually would like to make the ebook into videos for the main product. However all this is well and good if people would actually buy it. My main problem I seem to be having is how to target the traffic I need.

I seriously have been trying to get it figured out for like 7 months, and have tried ppc, organic traffic, backlinks, etc. Nothing has really gotten the targeted traffic I need. I don't need the "curious" people any more. I'm kind of not sure where to go from here. This is probably the best it's been doing as I'm at least in the top 10 google results for "get groupies" and my name, and well as "build a fan base" (in the video results) and also "get signed" (video results).

I'm just not sure what else I can do to make sales. I really feel like I've reached a dead end. Maybe I should move on to another product/market? Any thoughts? Thanks in advance. I really appreciate you even reading this.

I'm not trying to sound flipant here, but when I was last in a band in the seventies we had about as much trouble finding groupies as we did finding gravity.

Perhaps your niche is a bit like the 'Selling Ice to Eskimos' niche. Finding hot leads can be tough.

Maybe you can turn it around and sell "How To Be A Groupie" products to aspiring wannabees.

I think the problem here is that the terms you are targeting are quite generic and ambiguous. You need to zero in on a specific market then satisfy a need of that market. The product you have may be brilliant you just need to work out who exactly it appeals to and how to target them. If you are trying to get any kind of organic traffic then the search phrases should be as specific as possible with enough search volume to make it worthwhile targeting them.

I have looked at your site and it is one landing page. What about turning it into an authority site with adding content to it so people have interesting information to read? Content like... The Top Benefits of Having Groupies... Five Simple Steps to Getting Groupies... Success Stories of product owners... and then content about what it is like to be a groupie... A Close Up Look Into a Groupies Life... try to get interview recordings on there from groupies or people who have purchased your product...

    just some thoughts...

oh yes something else I noticed... this line below should there not be another word after HOT

I know for a fact that it's possible to pack your next show full of HOT ???? that want to be your groupies and I want to show you how!

First off, thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I really appreciate it.
@Bill - Yeah it would seem like it would be an easy thing, but it seems a lot of my friends can attract groupies, but have no idea how to take advantage of the situation. That's why I created the product, to teach guys how to know how to talk to women, and optimize their promotional efforts.

@tjm - I think you're exactly right, but I guess that may be where I'm having problems. The search for get groupies doesn't really yield a lot of results, so I tried to think what would a musician that is actively gigging search for on the net. That's what I came up with, how to get signed, etc etc...I also thought about specific pieces of gear musicians may use, but I thought my keyword relevance might not be good since the keyword would be about musical gear, and get groupies is about talking to women. This is the main problem I'm facing...what keywords to target.

@Kim - I have something like that, that I give away in the "free video" email capture. I have a bunch of videos on youtube and my getgroupies blog. Maybe I should just combine the two? I just didn't want to get the objective confused in the prospects mind...I've just read make it obvious what you want people to do. I obviously want them to put their emails in. Also, thank you for catching that error. I'll change it soon! Thanks!
