"Outside the Box" Advertising Tips...Add Yours Now

Hey Guys, Here are some off the wall, outside the box advertising tips that I've found. Thought I'd share em with ya... These are online/ offline tips.

Funny thing is, if you don't want to do these yourself, you can go to sites like fiverr.com and have someone do these for you for relatively cheap.

If you want to "shock" your clients or just be silly (silliness shows personality) Give one of these a try.

Feel free to add your own tips to the thread.


1. writing stuff on body parts or t shirts and having them wear it all day

2. writing something in the sand for you and turning it into:
-greeting card
- picture to post on site
- post card

3. Take a picture in a public place holding a sign with your site or business on it. Post it on your blog, make it a post card, etc
-famous places like the white house
- college campuses
- on the beach
- foreign countries


4. create a funny song about your product and
-record it to put on your site
-record it and put on you tube

5. create a top ten list that is helpful to people
-top ten healthiest fast food restaurants
-top ten best word press plug ins
- top ten hottest fashion trends
- top ten best movies of the year
etc.

6. teach a hidden talent of yours
-magic trick
-playing music
-writing poetry

note: this shows people your personable side. They will see that you are a genuine person with genuine interests

7. Create a service that you can do for people
-send out letters to their kids pretending to be santa
-have a create a card station where they can easily send out cards to loved ones for christmas or valentines day... pay for the stamps, cards and envelopes


8. Turn yourself into a cartoon character, super hero, etc.
- create characters of your staff,
- this is more of a personality thing... shows people that you have a sense of humor and like to have fun.

9. pay a college kid to put flyers up at their local college

10. place flyers on cars at the movie theater

11. hand out flyers at state fairs, etc
- hire pretty girls to do this

12. Write your web address on your car

13. Record a kid promoting your product
- who doesn't love a cute kid?
