Advertising with Forum Posting tehnique Sports Betting company - MISSION IMPOSSIBLE??

Hi to all warriors!

as i am in process of opening my own online sports betting company the marketing issue is biggest and most important issue for starting my business correct with enuough amount of newcomers.

so this days i research about forum posting advertising.

It could be great and cheap way to promote my new betting site as on those betting forums are very much targeted related.
So as we all know it is not allowed spamming there and i don't want to do it, i want to do forum posting marketing in legimit and proper way without getting banned from forum and mark my site as spam to betting community.

So my conclusions about forum posting issue are:
- i would advertise with my signature which would be visible to every post i have and in my signature will put link on my site (which i will not promote directly on forum, i would only post normally and give my participation there)
- so forum participation is important, to have as much valuable posts there, so many people will spot my signature when participating in hot topics.
- i also considered maybe paying anothers very active forum members which participate and have lot of daily posts who would like to sell their signatures

BUT, in most of online sports betting forums SIGNATURES ARE NOT ALLOWED, and if they are allowed they don't allow putting there any links!
Betting forums are very rigorous about that or any kind of advertising, direct or indirect!

So, as i figured out, i can't write posts about my company as administrators of those forums will ban me, and can't put my site in my signature

How to promote my new bookmaker web site on forums while they are so much strict with their regulations about indirect forum adverts? Do you have any good idea and know-how experience how to do it without getting banned there?

Names of 2 biggest sports betting forums to see what i am talking about:
1.) The Punters Lounge - The World's Best Betting Forum
2.) Bettingadvice forum - Powered by vBulletin

You can link to your site on this forum.

All you can do is either start your own forum, or find forums you can leave a sig in.

I've been involved in several forums that won't let me advertise anything really.

yes, i can link here, it will not hurt, but it will also no advertise very much for two reasons:
      - in this forum are not very much sports betting related members so % of people being interested in will be low and it will not gather that much clicks on my betting site
      - it is obvious i will not participate that much in this forum involved in advertising as i would like to participate in betting forums as they are more interested and more in my business related and could post a lot of topics there as i am expert in betting, as not in this forum or any similar which is not related to sports betting and because of that my signature will not expose to much people as it would be on sports betting forums.

if you fire me a pm with a contact email, i have a buddy who is into the betting stuff and may be opening a new extension / forum to his business.

I can not promise any outcome but i am happy to put you in touch and pass your information along. I know he is looking at adding people such as your self / but unclear exactly what when where and how so best i let him sort that part.

    Dude,

You more or less answered your own questions. Most of those forums don't want you promoting your own websites or business.

Build relationships with other gambling webmasters (like those who have posted in this thread) and move on to other promotional strategies.

I've just discovered a similar problem. I am active in mommy forums for my site that is in my sig here. I do a great job of contributing to the forums, usually a 200 word response of good solid advice. I always end my post with the url to my address. Well, today I notice my postings have been removed and another site has suspended my account.

So obviously, putting links in forum postings don't work out too well no matter what industry your in or going after. I think it's unfortunate, especially when you make an actual contribution.

My question is this. If you have your URL in your profile...and they allow it... do you get backlink credits for each post since its tied to your post? don;t get me wrong, I enjoy providing advice and helping out people... I really do, but if its not going to help my site in anyway I need to find out a better way to invest my time.

Yes, look like no any forum this days will allow us to put direct links - they are banning for that. We could put (and that is questionable) only links in our signatures (not all forums).

Do you know what succes you had in past only with this sig links on your site?
Not sure how much people are clicking on sigs there on forums.

It's going to be very hard if the big forums don't allow links in the sig file. In my opinion you are only going to get good results from forum marketing if the forum is extremely active, like this one.

All the forums I participate in are on page 1 in big G for my category. I only participate in very active forums. Well, seriously.... this is probably the most active forum I have ever participated in, but these sites are very active as well. Do you gain anything from posting in forums where you can't provide a link?

Yes. You can link here since you want to maximize the number of people who will see your sig or promo. You'll never know if one, two or even more in this forum may also have interest on what you're offering. But of course, you can get better leads and traffic if you'll link with actual forum for betting.

hm, maybe forum moderators would allow signatures for site owners - not just affiliates. Example: betfair or bet365 as big bookmakers could contribute on forums to exist there as official forum posters to respond on questions regarding their companies (and to allow signatures with links off course for them there)
who knows will moderators allow that. I could try to ask them when site will be up and running.

We cannot say this particular site is good. All sites are informative but we can say that some of them have good content and information.
