Would I be wasting my time building a list in the sexual enhancement niche?

How would you stand out from all the spammers who use this niche?

That's an awesome niche for list building if you approach it the right way. There will always be the desire for bigger, better, longer, more potent, etc.

Consider promoting toys as well as whatever product you had in mind. A lot of the "remedies" are crap but there are products and techniques that really will give your list members what they want.

This is a great question, because even if it is a great niche - and I'm sure it is, if only judging by the shear volume of searches on topics like this - it is by far the most hated form of spam in the entire Milky Way galaxy. Take Viagra, for example (no, not really. Just consider it...) How many ways can that drug be purposely misspelled in order to fake out the spam filters?

The vast majority of females, of course, are not interested in the topic by default, and most guys are not at all likely to buy, due to us all being spammed absolutely to death and back again. Not the fault of well-meaning entrepreneurs, but the prejudice is already stacked against you.

It's not enough to want it... you have to want it enough.

Where will you get traffic from? Where will you
guest post, participate on forums and network?

    Nah, I'd stay away.

If I were you I wouldn't let anyone steer me away from testing the niche. For all you know, a list could work really well in this niche if it were done right.

    Go test.

You need to see who is already legitimately marketing to this niche. Enter your keywords in to Google and see who is paying for ads (more important the ones Google lets advertise). Follow them and see how they are monetizing. I doubt a list would be effective for this niche, but that is why you need to investigate. I have been wrong lots of times before!

You are gonna have to make your content very good, because this is one of the most spammed niches around.

It is tough to say on that niche because it is very well spammed across the internet. Like the above posts the only way to know is to test it. Maybe try promoting some products and see you get any results. Also try putting together a free report/ebook and see if people are interested. I don't think many IM's build a list with this niche, but I could be wrong.

The EASY answer is are you an expert in enhancement? and do you plan on being the go to guy in the field enhancement. If its something you know a lot about and the subject matter interests you, go for it, there's definitely a market. The fact that there are a bunch of spammers and creeps out there will only set you apart if you take it seriously. If you're just looking for a niche and have no affinity to the market, start with a niche of more personal interest to you.

    Good luck
