Default my son broke my toe!! a lesson learnt!

Ouch!!

While making my daughters lunch today, my son entered the kitchen and pushed over a big oak chair, BAM it hit my big toe, a trip to the hospital and I have a broken toe.

I think there is a lesson to be learned here, If anyone knows it please let me know, it MIGHT make me feel better. The only one I can think of is buy lighter chairs, but its difficult to think through the pain.

Sorry, had to vent

Darren

Have an "I broke my toe firesale" to cover expenses.

At least the chair didn't fall on the kids.

Hi Ron,

The good thing about the UK, the only expenses I had was for hypnotizing my son so he doesnt remember the many expletives.

Thank you NHS!!

Hey ... sorry to hear bout the toe ... but here's the lesson ....

The kid dropped the chair that hurt your toe .... he could have hurt himself which would have hurted you more in your heart ... so

1. Keep an eye on him in future specially when he's playing with things he shouldn't be ...
2. Find yourself a Steel Toe shoe ... if you were wearing one today, you would have been "painless".

Emotional: From where I see it ... if that chair had to fall, and had to hurt someone ... it better be me than my child ...

Philosophical: What has to happen, has to happen, nothing can change it ... it is a process of learning and we all have to go through it. Lucky it wasn't worse!

Practical: If that chair was kept right, it would never fall ... so find the one who is responsible for this and give him/her a piece of yourself .... LOL

Take care of that toe now and relax ... It'll be fine soon ...

THAT's the lesson.

Never ever have pudding in the house!

I always thought NMP was a chemically stable and powerful polar solvent.

It should be No More Pudding!!

Darren, everything happens for a reason and this is another example of why we are not in control. Read this thread from another forum http://"http://www.warriorforum.com/...ght-dead.html"
and you might agree with me. The toe will mend and nothing else was damaged.

God bless

Norma

Darren,

Always "tie a feather pillow around the old oak chair". I think that's how the song goes...

One thing i miss about the uk and living in the US now it would have cost me $100 to visit the ER. Next time wear shoes in the kitchen preferable steel toe.

Kids and kitchens don't mix i have 3 kids not kitchens...

Geoff

Hmm, is that really how the song goes Geoff?

No wonder they all look at me funny at Karaoke!

Thanks for the heads up

Hi Darren,

Boy this is a tough choice...

Get rid of the kid or the chair?

What kind of chair is it?

Broken toes are short lived, kids are forever.

Hope you mend quickly.

Thanks,

John

Darren, you didn't owe your son money by chance?

Late in paying him back?

Lesson:

Ask someone to watch your son. You can have a nanny to take care of him while you're busy doing other things.
