Looking for Advice and Suggestions on a Good Hosting (Dynamic Site)

Hi Forum

I know this question must come up a lot, but because many hosting companies, come, go, improve, and in some cases worsen over time, I'm looking for some current recommendations on a good shared hosting account. Let me briefly explain why.

I have a 6 year old database driven dynamic site that has members, and a CMS Admin area. The company I was with for 4 + years managed the site very well. I had what was known as a hosting + account where no more than 100 max sites were on the server. I don't think it ever exceeded 25 sites, and the support was second to none, when needed, with a response time usually within an hour of opening a new ticket, regardless of the time of day.

However, they sold out over night, and I didn't have time to research the new company where all the accounts were to be migrated. My host praised them up as a state-of the-art hosting company with a good global reputation. Unfortunately, this has not been my experience. It's been one support ticket after another for almost 2 years, and now a recent server upgrade has broken some areas of the CMS Admin are and detailed search functions, none of which they are unable to resolve for me.

To cut a long story short, I would not only like some recommendations of a really good shared hosting account, but would also like the new company to offer the service of moving the site over as a clone on a latent URL in order for it to be tested and fully functional before closing down the old account. Current hosting is $200 / year, and I will be looking at a similar cost for a new account. All I'm looking for is an account that doesn't have me using up all my time and energy by opening new support tickets every month.

This is not a huge project, nor does it have lots of bells and whistles, but when it goes wrong, there's a lot of inconvenience all round for me the webmaster, advertisers, sponsors, and of course site visitors.

So any suggestions so that I can begin to compile a short list in advance of site migration would be greatly appreciated guys. Please no hosting companies respond at this stage because I'm looking for feedback from satisfied customers who already have reasonably trouble-free operation with their dynamic projects.

Thanks in advance

Andy
