MY site disappears far away from the first page??

Hello,

I have a question about one of my website Google ranking.

This site was created 10 month ago. Since 2 or 3 months, the site is on the first page for his keyword and have a PR4.

Depend on the period, went to 3th place or 8th place but was on the first page.

Then, 10 days ago, he moved after the 100th position.

It still indexed on Google.

I checked with "rank mover" and it can only tells me that my site is over the 100th result.

The rank with Yahoo and Bing didn't move, only with Google.

Do you have any ideas about how my site could suddenly disappears to go so far in search results.

Thanks for your advices

Sebastian

That has happened to me before also
I was in page #1 and it went all the way back to 100+
I think is just google dancing with your website
just give it time, updated it regularly and keep backlinking or whatever you are normally doing to it
it will go back in a couple of weeks if not less back to normal or could maybe go back even higher in rank
Don't worry it will go back to where it was before =)

    Hi

Have you been updating the site regularly or just left off?

It happens to me on a daily basis. Just add some new content to the site and add a few backlinks on your site pointing to some of the higher ranking sites and see where it goes from there...

If it's the site you have on your signature then I
can understand Google not wanting to rank it well

Seriously, it could be so many things: did you change
anything on your robots.txt? sitemap? screwed up you
wordpress configuration? Linked to bad sites?

Happens all the time to my sites. I just ensure I keep adding quality original content and adding backlinks and it reappears at number 1.

hi there, this regularly happens and is often referred to as the google dance, i had this happen to me recently.

i was ranking on page 1 of google for a product name and then for a month or so i disappeared, however, i've come back this week with a higher ranking on page 1 than i had before.

i'd made sure that your on page optimization is as good as it can be and regularly build quality links to your site.

    hope this helps

    regards

This happened recently to many sites due to new algorithm changes. If you notice many of the keyword competition numbers have dropped, this is due to Google weeding out tons of spam sites. They've pretty much did a huge clean-up, make sure any future link progression is strictly relevant and that you stay consistent with content.

Thanks for your feedback. I was prepared to continue because it's my main and most ranked website.
The thing is that I already heard about and see the "Google dance", but I didn't know it could happens for old and ranked sites.
Moreover, this change happened since almost two weeks. It seems a long time for a simple "Google dance". But you are mentioning a month period possible. So I believe I can only "wait and see". I was planing to change a lot of things on my site. I guess it's the good time to do it .

Hi Have you been updating the site regularly or just left off?
Actually, I think this happened when I started to put more content on it.
For few months, I didn't put some new content except some few posts and pages updates. And the site disappeared when I restart to write some new posts for few days, everyday.

Seriously, it could be so many things: did you change

You're making a good point here. I will check all changes I've made to the site.

I didn't know that. Probably this "huge clean-up" takes time.

I have the same problem. I discovered the other day that my site disappeared from google for a kewyord in which I was steadily moving up on. I am pretty worried and disappointed and want to know what to do.
