Having Trouble With Addon Domain

Okay, the tech challenged is having problems again.

Did I mention that I hate computers.

I went to my addon domain manager and went to add a domain that I just
got. I usually don't have a problem doing this.

Well, this time when I typed in the info and clicked on add, the site just
seemed to freeze. Finally, I stopped it, tried again. I then got a message
that said that the domain was already added.

Well, when I went back to my addon domain manager, the domain wasn't
there, yet a folder was created for it in cpanel.

Anyway, this was the other day.

In the meantime, I redirected the domain to my nameservers like I always
do and it's been more than 24 hours and when I try to pull the domain
up I get some weird looking site with all this junk all over it. It says it's
my domain but it's not the page that I have in my folder. So obviously, it's
not propagated correctly.

So, I deleted the folder and tried to do the process again. Still won't
let me. Say the addon domain was already added.

Anyway, I'm stuck at this point. I restored the folder. If I go to it from
file manager, the index.html shows up fine when I click on the link to
view it. But if I try to just type the domain into my browser, I get the
funky looking page.

I'm sure that what's actually there in my account is just a subfolder and
not a real addon domain.

I notified my web host but haven't heard back yet.

If anybody has any ideas, I'm all ears.
