If You Market It THEY WILL COME

You know what is absolutely ridiculous? Actually rather sad...

I was thinking about starting a Wordpress Blog for one of my sites. So I was thought to myself, what the hell lets start a new blog right now. So I did: I got my new domain for it and now there is nothing on it. So I got the domain, now I was on a mission to find the top Wordpress Blogs to get some ideas for mine. I was doing all kinds of crawling through the site. Click, click, click. I was amazed at some of the blogs I found on there. Pretty much everything you'd ever want to know about has been written about. Some of the blogs looked absolutely amazing!

Well anyways, I was wondering: Are any of these sites making the money they can be?

I saw some blogs which were so good, at least to my eyes that I thought hey lets do some searching for them on MSN, Yahoo, and Google. Sure enough most of them were not showing up for the keywords they were obviously trying to target when they started it.

I was just thinking to myself, if I had that blog what I would do to pump it up - I was wondering why they weren't. People have blogs all set up to make tons of cash but they don't.

Some people just think making a sweet blog is all you have to do to make money. WRONG. Making a blog is only a fraction of what is necessary to have success. You need to give it the zest that it needs. You need to market it. Market it and market it some more.

Well anyways, I thought it was quite sad that I saw so many of these great blogs that were probably not making a cent. Just wanted to share my thoughts with everyone and see what everyone thinks about this.

The bottom line to me is that if you got some great blog then use it to it's potential. The potential of money making online is endless - especially in the online world. Everyone in the world online can see your blog. It is just the actions and steps you want to take in order to make that a reality.

Perhaps there is a way that you could market your expertise in making money from blogs to those people? There's usually a comment section...right? Just a thought!

I'm no expert in making money from blogs... I was just saying that if I had a blog like some people do... I would be marketing it that is all

Yes, but if you know how to do that, maybe those people would like to know too.

I think you were looking at free hosted blogs at wordpress dot com, not self hosted blogs using software from wordpress dot org. Same software, but the TOS at wordpress dot com basically prohibits making money ( no Ad Cents and limited affiliate links). That's why they host for free .
