Where to Get Good Copy?

Hi all,

I am updating a sales page which I wrote back when I didn't know anything about Internet marketing back in Feb 2007 and it was my first venture into it with an ebook (I still don't know a lot but that's another story.)

The ebook itself is a quality product, but I need to up the conversions from the sales page.

option 1.

pay a good copywriter - but the good ones seem to be over my budget (what sort of price should I be looking at for a one page sales letter?)

option 2.

Use a plug in sales page of some sort. I think Marlon Sanders has one which helps you to write your own sales letter, but I don't know if it is any good or if they are any good in general, any feedback in this area would be great.

option 3.

write one again from scratch myself, using the knowledge I have picked up in the last 18 months or so. I could do a much better job than I did first time round, but still maybe not top notch.

I am already looking at updating my opt in course etc that people sign up to, so that I can up the conversions there as well, but primarily at the moment I am looking at the sales page copy itself, which isn't great.

Any feed back on a good copy writer for a smaller budget or a good plug in sales letter that can be adapted, would be great. Or on anything else.

Thanks in advance.

    Got to start somewhere

use what people call a swipe file

look at others sales copy then adapt it to your product

with more experience you should be able to do this yourself

again its about testing, even an expience copy writer test , no different for you

      Hi Ed,

Thanks for that. That's exactly (or similar) to what I did with my first sales page. And for my first effort I was reasonably pleased with it. If I can't do it another way and have to do it myself, then this is the way I will do it again.

Over the past 18 though sales letters seem to have got longer. About 18 months ago I swear they were only about 7 A4 sides long at max but now they are a mimimum of about 17 A4 pages, when I print them out. Or is it just me.

Also thanks, to those who have personal messaged me with there suggestions or help.

No feedback yet though on the Marlon Sanders product, or similar products.

I have decided to give Nicholas Cole's warrior special offer a go. If was recommended via personal message to me and I think the time has come for me to take things to another level and do like the experts do use the people the experts use (if I can afford them). Anyway, Nicholas's offer looks good, even if I only get him and his team to write one letter every 8 months, it still looks good to me.
