Why would I NOT want to use Market Samurai?

I have been using it for about a week now and for the most part liking the results and functionality.

But I am intermediate at best, so of course wondering if I am missing a bad part about it?

Also, do you have thoughts on their "golden rule" settings...like, with maybe a little tweaking, the results will be more profitable? etc

Thanks

I find market samurai slow and doesnt give me all the info I need. My keyword research tools i use are:

    Adwords keyword tool
    Wordtracker keyword tool
    SEO Quake Toolbar
    SEO Elite

For argument's sake, what are those tools giving you that MS does not?

        Ok, in my opinion:

Adwords keyword tool - MS scrapes this and it can take a while for data to come back. For me I find it more responsive to just use the GKWT directly and it also lets me use the funky new include/exclude filters

Wordtracker keyword tool - This gives me a keyword list of up to 1000 keywords and has many keywords that google doesnt suggest, but when i put back into GKWT they show search volume. It also helps me easily get the longtails to write my articles for. £161/year well spent in my book!

SEO Quake Toolbar - gives same data as MS but allows me to read the full page title, description and view the second page to get a better feel for the competition (which MS does not)

SEO Elite - once everything has passed my preliminary tests I will drill deeper on sites im competing aginst to see how good the anchor text of their links is. I know MS said they would add this at some point, perhaps they have this now, I am not sure. I have had this software for ages so I use it but I think SEO Spyglass is probably better.

Yes, you can check anchor text of competing sites in Seo Competition section of Market Samurai.

Just click the down arrow next to the url of any site listed and then click on Anchor Text Analysis button.

You can also click on PR Analysis and get a breakdown of the PR for the site's backlinks.

            Thanks for the input...

Will stick with MS and continue to use google keywords as well...

Market Samurai is pretty much everything you need all in one for keyword research. I would classify myself the same as you as far as finding keywords and that's intermediate at best but it is just so powerful and helpful. I do like to cross reference with Google's Adword tool and sometimes even SEOtools but that's just cause I want different sources of information. You'd be hard pressed to find many flaws in Market Samurai.
