A little help with Clicbank

Hello,

I have a couple of eBooks written (based on my experiences in marketing/self development in the business world) and would like to put them up on Clickbank. Question is, what research do you do to figure out which ones will sell? Or I guess, minimize the risk of NOT selling?

For example, I have done several keyword searches on one of them and it revealed that there is a lot of searches for this niche, not a lot of competition. On Clickbank however, products talking about the similar subject don't really have too good of a gravity score.

What sort of research can I do?

Thank you for your reply. Seeing as how I'm relatively new to this field of marketing, would you care to elaborate on this point:

"I would advise you do NOT put it on clickbank yet. Being in marketing yourself you would be best served putting the product through paypal for now and setting a lowww price point to split test for best conversions. Raise your price, narrow down splits, find your sweet spots, and put yourself in your affiliates shoes (i.e. convert on your own offer as your own affiliate with articles, videos, whatever your aff's might do)."

How would I put the product(s) through PayPal first?

I guess my dilema is the technical aspect of it all. I have the products which I feel are solid and would sell well, the question is, what would be the best avenue of getting them out to the public? I understand the value of blogs and list building, but are there any other means? I though that with Clickbank, you could submit your eBooks, and others would promote it for you. I rather take that road.

But how are you going to get the affiliates to promote it for you? It has to be attractive for them to actively put the effort in to promote it, high commission payouts, a product that's in demand etc. As was said before, test first before heading for the Clickbank method.

        Thank you for your reply.

I understand that completely, which is why I am asking for methods on how to test it out.

        • If there is lot of searches with little competition then whack up a wordpress site and put some articles/blogs on there about your niche with a paypal button. Insert google analytics to check traffic, Digg your site and submit articles to ezine and others, use Blogger and other freebies, there's a fair bit you can try for no or little outlay.
