Hello. I am new to the forums. An intro about myself.

Hello,

I am new to the forums. Since the moment I found this place I have been reading it nonstop and finally registered yesterday. I have been working off and online since about 1998. A few years ago life changed, and I got an offline job. It seemed as if all my ideas, traffic, money making methods just came crashing down on me all at once. I was burnt out.

Now that I found this forum, I have found some really great ideas and it seems like there is still money to be made online.

I have a few questions though.

I see a lot of talk about things like wso, jv, plr, etc etc. These are all new terms to me. I am used to things like, link lists, traffic trading, toplists, freehosts, adwords, forums, etc etc.

With a wso, is this just a special offer for the community members of this forum? Is it purposely written out like a late night infomercial just to sell to the members of this forum? Is that the target audience of these "wso"?

When making a wso, who does the money end? The processing? Who are you guys going with? If you are just making wso's to gather email leads in your "lists" as you call them, how many leads do you average per wso?

Do you guys differentiate between fellow warrior forum members and regular "surfers"? You see where I come from we separated the two and it was always a no no to sell our stuff to our fellow webmasters. But here there seems to be a lot of selling amongst each other and regular web surfers that stumble upon our ads. The line between the two seems really blurred here at this forum.

I hope I am not asking too many questions. I hope I made my thoughts clear.

I look forward to networking with you and making money together.

Yours

Big Bear

    Hello Bear & Welcome!

WSO - Warrior Special Offer, yes its a special offer for the community and must be a discounted price for warriors. The idea is to make money and provide good information to the community, they're usually sold through paypal. The warrior who creates the WSO keeps all the profits but must pay a listing fee to the warrior forum.

I see. Thank you for the response. Does the forum mods aka powers that be review these offers to make sure they are real and not some made up bogus scheme?

To the average user, when viewing the wso section, it looks like a bunch of late night infomercials being thrown at us.

Hi Big Bear - welcome to the forum

Regarding your last question - no the mods don't check every WSO, I don't think it would be physically possible to verify them all.

It's true that some WSOs are better than others. Sometimes offers are very hyped. Personally I do a few things to protect myself - check out reviews (even these are not fool proof as sometimes certain members always seem to be there to "review" certain other members products), check out past posts of the person selling the offer and so on. If the text is very hypey and sounds too good to be true (make a million in an hour type stuff) then I would avoid it.

I hope the above doesn't put you off, because for every scammy offer there are many more that offer useful advice. You just have to be careful, as you would in any other type of business.
