Need Ideas- How Do I Monetize My Movie Site?

Hi guys,

I've got a site in the free movies niche that's sitting at the top of page 2 of Google for its main keyword which has quite a good search count. I've only got 1 placeholder post on it so far (it's a Wordpress blog) but I'm already seeing some healthy traffic.

The thing is I'm a bit lost for ideas on how to monetize this site. I would like to stick to the following rules:

1. Does not violate any site's terms of service.
2. Nothing illegal or unethical (Don't want to get banned or shut down).
3. Adsense? (I heard Adsense doesn't like free movie sites. Is this true?)
4. CPALead? (So I would have to link to a free movie download somewhere, right?)

Is anyone here already doing this with good income ideas? Feel free to share. Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Alex

Thanks for the reply. I'm looking for more ideas about this so if there's anyone else who is in the movie niche, maybe you can throw some pointers here.

    Thanks and regards,
    Alex

Well, adsense is the best option for you. You just need to provide them some information about you and it will be activated for you. Try it and enjoy!

Depending on the domain name (if its general or specific) you could also add some Amazon products to it as well. Yes movies on Amazon arent all that expensive so your commisions wouldnt be that high per sale based on your initial product offer...however, people dont tend to buy just one product on Amazon when they actually break out their credit card to purchase. Once you got them there your affiliate ID would be attached to whatever purchase they make. I have a couple of small sites that target lower end products that I often find make higher commisions than the actual product that leads the customer to Amazon. Thats either because they are purchasing several of the items related to teh site or once they get there they find other things to purchase...either way it works pretty decent.

Also, in the movie niche there are several related products you could list on the site in additonal categories:

    1. Boxed sets which are popular - esecially TV series
    2. DVD Players - need something to play the movies on
    3. Flat screen TV's - you could put a few on there that have good owner reviews that were deeply discounted and you might jsut make the occasional sale here too. A quick search revealed 20% off up to 45% off
    4. Home theater in a box sets - same as above and there are some pretty good savings in there as well.

If people are interested enough in movies to go to your site then they are probably like many out there that collect them and are always on the lookout for a good deal to upgrade their entire system...I know, because I am one

    Good luck, hope that helps!

Yes, try adding CPAlead and a gateway. I've seen many "free movie" sites monetized successfully with this tactic.

CPA Offers is the most profitable method. Adsense is low profit unless you have a site at 1-4 in a highly searched niche.

If you become an Ebay partner you'll be able to display relevant eBay listings on your site.
I have found this much more profitable than Adsense as eBay pays you per click, and you get paid on purchases made
