Is This The Reason Why So Many Fail @ IM???

If the Warrior Forum is a microcosm of internet marketing, I have notice something interesting about where visitors spend their time...

At any given time of the day, the biggest traffic is int he WSO forum. Now, compare that to the other other forums - such as the JV forum and Warriors For Hire forum - forums which will actually help you make money and not spend it... it makes wonder where people's focus really is.

Especially when you can get access to many WSO's which are first-class in the War Room for a one off subscription.

This place is an incredible resource for building a business. There are some great talents here for outsourcing and JV's.

Yet, it staggers me that the most useful and valuable forums are so overlooked in favor of what is essentially a bazaar type market place.

So is this representative of most marketers across the board? And is this misguided focus a major contributor to long term failure?

Discuss.

    Hey Sal

We spend a bunch of time in the Offline thread as some great (useable)ideas come from it.

Plus the, warriors for hire section, the discussion section and of course the WSO area because we have WSO's available.

    Pretty good spread eh!

    Regards

You probably find WSOs selling systems.

In the other areas, there are techniques being discussed, but you may have to wade through tons of information and some are totally wrong.

So for newbies, they probably want to just get a system that promises them wealth.

So we assume that all viewers are newbies?

Sifting through and reading sales letter after sales letter is a complete waste of time in my opinion.

But you are correct about looking for a magic bullet.

I think you are somewhat right in what you have noticed. A lot of people think they can find the "secret" or the quick and easy instant cash system in the WSO section, it kind of lends to that thinking with all the hyped up titles of different methods promising ___$'s in ____ amount of time. If most of those same people who are looking for the magic bullet would just spend some time reading and learning from the rest of the forum and then just take some action they would be having success.

I was watching Tristan Bull's video today, and although have a set method... there was one comment that stuck out like a beacon.

Focus on and traffic and conversions.

To me, that really describes the essence of what we should be doing.

2 things I'd like to add...

Firstly, people should find something that they can easily master and stick with it until they do master it... and until such time, they should block out the noise.

Secondly, even if what they master is not a big money spinner... instead of looking for something better, it will be far easier and quicker to duplicate the process.

This is what I did with my membership sites. I wasted years and $$$ trying to find the perfect solution. But it wasn't until I followed the above rules that I hit it big again.

I guess it just saddens me to see so many wanting to make a fist of it, but spending too much time looking for greener grass, when the solution is staring at them.

Of course you're right. This section is "where we talk about making money" and that section is where they sell the easy buttons.

I think that yes, to an extent, a lot of newbies will go to the WSO section - but we've also got to remember that the WF gets a lot of visits from search engines when people are looking to buy products, and a lot of those views may be non members.

You've definitely got a point about people wasting time reading sales letters and looking for the next best thing. Personally I try not to look in the WSO section too often as even I end up getting sucked in despite the fact that I learnt the lesson about wasting time on shiny new things a long time ago!

Nowadays I like spending my time in the main discussion forum and the mind warriors forum for inspiration.

Good point, Sal. At any given time it seems there are more visitors here than members. In checking right now, there are 1052 members and 2668 guests. I wonder how that plays into it?

      Mate, your up early.

I didn't look at that side of the equation to be honest.

I'm probably having one of those days when I get sick of seeing thread after thread asking about the best way to make money online.

It's like AAAAARRRGHHHHH! Stop looking and start doing.

As someone said to me... forget trying to fix the world because it doesn't want to be fixed.

      Cheers.
