Article Marketing Resource Links - How many sites to link to?

If you have 2 or more sites in the same niche, is it a better idea to have 2 links to 2 different sites on each article, or 2 links to the same site?

You definitely want to link to two different sites, but if you ever do want to have 2 links point to the same website, have one point to the naked domain, and have one point to the most relevant page on the domain. This strategy will help with your deep linking. It will also help you to secure the top TWO spots in Google.

Here's how you discover the most relevant page on your domain. Run the following search in Google:

    targeted keyword site:www(dot)example(dot)com

    replace "(dot)" with "."
replace "targeted keyword" with the keyword phrase you're targeting
replace "example" with your domain name

This will return pages from your website, and it will rank them in terms of relevance. The webpage that ranks the highest is the webpage you want as your second link in any article marketing or linkbuilding.

    Cheers!

Variety is the spice of life.

Sometimes I link to 2 sites, sometimes two pages on one site.
