I dont understand....

Being relatively new to the IM world, there are always some things that boggle me. For instance, if you have heard about the generous affiliate package hostgator provides.

In short, the commision figures are impressive:
1-5 a month---------$50per sign up
6-10 a month$75per sign up
11-20 a month$100per sign up
21+ a month$125per sign up

Common logic says that marketers should be promoting like crazy. As a matter of fact, apart from the PIPS program, very few even talk or know about, let alone promote it.

If you get 25 subscribers in a month alone, that itself is enough for a full time income (25 times $125 = $3125)!

Slightly off-topic (does not concern US!) is, How hostgator makes profit on a $12.95 sale and offering $50 commissions is totally beyond me.

Does anyone else here think the same....

That $12.95 figure is per month. The $50 commission is a one-time payment.

    By the same token...

You'd need to recruit 25 new subscribers each month to earn that income.

If you want to promote a hosting program, I
    wouldn't recommend going with hostgator...

Too many suspicious "fraud" payments will
inevitably cut into your affiliate revenue.

but, they still promote other 'fishy' and 'inferior' products. How come no one is willing to promote such a great hosting site???

I do understand that it is not a recurring commision product.
