Just some more article marketing results, and a question!

Well, I'm advertising this Bowtrol Colon Cleanse thing.

So I have about 5 approved articles on EA about it. They are short and meant for maximum traffic to the resource link.

I'm averaging a really great CTR of 33.5%. I'm really proud of that.

So anyway, across all my Bowtrol articles I have 950 views, and 320 URL clicks.

When I started this I expected to be converting at atleast 1%. But with 320 clicks I have made 0 conversions.

The link I use in my resource box is the same one in my signature. A simple redirect straight to the manufacturer.

So the question is, don't you think that having a 33.5% CTR but yet having 0% conversion with 320 clicks is a little strange? I mean look where the link leads, why wouldn't it be converting at atleast 0.5%? The page is nice, relevant to the article in every way, selling exactly what they were expecting when they clicked onto it, easy to navigate, looks professional and legit.

Any suggestions or comments?

I continue writing articles as we speak, but since I only started advertising Bowtrol about a week ago, most of them aren't approved yet. Because Im only Basic Plus. So this isn't some complaint, just a curiosity.

Oh yea, also the program says its average conversion rate is 2.5%. Is that just hype or probably true but my marketing skeelz just aren't up to it yet? Because with 320 clicks if I was converting at 2.5% I would have made about 8 conversions totaling about 400$. That would have been awesome. 400$ in 1 week.

    There's your problem straight away.

Market Health products don't have the highest conversions at the best of times, but the ONLY way to sell them with article marketing is to send your article traffic to a really strong presell on your own site or blog.

Wow, my perspective was much different. When I saw this I thought it probably had a fairly good conversion rate because 1) its a health related product and 2) it just seemed cool to me =P. My criteria for judging these things still isn't very experienced though so don't get me wrong.

And I never understood that presell thing. Isn't their page basically the sales letter? Why have two sales letters? Seems like I'd just lose people in the transition. I can find plenty of info on how to presell, but hardly any explaining its purpose, like many things in internet marketing the purpose seems to go unsaid with many of the things you do.
