New Website Suggestions

INTERNET MARKETING

Hi Warriors,
After reading the forum for about 2-3 weeks I became motivated and created my first Amazon Affiliate website. I had used a free theme and put up very little content as I made the site tomorrow night itself. As the time goes I will keep on updating the contents.

Please let me know how it has come up and suggest some improvements of if I am missing something. Remember this is my first attempt at amazon affiliate, so any suggestion will be appreciated.

The site looks good.

You just have to add more content. And make sure that your reviews are HONEST.

Then, think of how to advertise or promote the site so that you can drive traffic to the site. You can use Yahoo Answers and other methods of generating traffic.

I just made the site last night and it has not been indexed by google yet. But at first look does the site look like an affiliate site or a review site? Is there any problem in making sales if the site does not seem like an affiliate site at first look?

  To me yes the site looks like an affiliate site and most people on this forum will (should) say the same, but to the general surfer out there they aren't thinking about (or know about) affiliate website so it's all good.! Great work on getting a site out there.!

Honestly, it sounds like an affiliate or review site by just reading the name of the site.

The only problem is how to get it before the buying crowd. It doesn't just have to look like an affiliate site before you can make a sale provided your landing page is enticing.

Thanks Shiloh and Govnor for the positive feedbacks. Both were inspiring. Any improvement design wise or plugin wise that you want to suggest?
All the reviews are written by me from user comments and are not copied except for tech specifications.
As for the marketing of the site I am looking for article marketing and also yahoo answers, just as Shiloh said.
Hopefully I will get some traffic and eventually sales.

1 - Change your URL format to display your
most important title keywords.

2 - Remove the left ad.

3 - Make use of text links to link to amazon.
People are more likely to use those instead of
image ads.

1. I do not seem to find a way to make the urls reflect the keywords. Do you know any plugin for that?

2. I will remove the left ad. But what shall I put in its place?

3. So, like I should put text links at the end of reviews to link to amazon? Also shall I put text ads in the left sidebar?

yeah, it looks good, but try mixing up the content. throw some videos and and articles in there. i would look for amazon wp plugins for the products and other plugins for content.

You need to mess with your code a little so that your RSS icon and Twitter icon in the top right corner are not covered.

Also, if you're looking for content, I have some digital camera articles on my website that you can have.

How is this site being hosted...is it a stand alone site with its own cPanel or is it an addon?

  I don't know what you wanted to know by the question, but the site is made on wordpress using free theme and plugins and hosted on genxhosting. It has it's cPanel in the host backend. I hope it answers your question.
