Going to launch my product soon! Starting to freak out...

Hey everyone,

I'm currently making a product, a membership webpage, that has basically been my life for the last 2 months. I plan to launch it towards the end of this month (in the muscle/weight loss niche) and I'm starting to FREAK out.

I mean, once it launches, I don't exactly know what to do. I was planning to put it on clickbank, but I'll have no idea how to pick up affiliates from there. I could try to sell it on my own, but I wouldn't exactly know how to do that either (except for PPC) because there is so much competition in that niche. I know that my product stands out and is much, much more enjoyable than the other products being sold right now though.

So, now I turn to you Warrior Forum. Have any of you been in this situation before? It would be one of the biggest let downs in my life if it doesn't start selling after I put so much time and effort into this project. I'm starting to even have doubts about finishing the product, because I don't know how I'm going to pull off sales to begin with.

Do any of you have suggestions for me? Or thoughts on what I can or should do at this point? Or please share your own experiences with your product launches, I would love to hear stories as well.

Well that's a normal feel if this your first product launch, don't worry and just enjoy your venture, you'll back to normal again once your products is on the air. You can put your affiliate programs listed at major affiliate directory like affiliate scout or etc. you can also contact your list about your new products and the affiliate programs, good luck for you.

You could start building your list now by offering free memberships to the first X people who join your list and a discount for the next Y with the results to be announced on launch day.

This approach (IMHO) almost guarantees sales on launch day as well as giving you an influx of people to work with.

Good luck with it. It's nerve-racking putting yourself out there but it's all just part of it.

    Cheers,

Look for others in the same niche that might want to promote it to their lists as affiliates. Clickbank is a good way to get affiliates but only after you've gotten some gravity - many people don't even look at newer products.

Also you can try Craigslist - offer a sales position to sell memberships to the website and walk them through signing up for Clickbank and setting up their affiliate link. You can even give them free memberships so they can see that the product is as good as it claims.

I wouldn't spend money on it because it's free stuff you're giving away.

Personally, I did it through participating in forums where interested people were. Don't forget you're giving people the opportunity to get it free - it's the easiest promotion possible because you don't need to persuade anyone to part with cash.

I detect analysis paralysis creeping in - just do it

    Cheers,

Did I miss something? I thought he was selling memberships?

Unless you're talking about the first 50 free memberships - in which case, yeah - avoid PPC. You shouldn't have trouble giving away some free spots if you spend time on forums, craigslist, etc.

He is but he is wanting to find out how he can get sales etc. I do agree with giving it away to start with and try and get 2 or 3 top Joint venture partners who can drive some targeted traffic to your offer

The point is to start building a list with the prospect of a free membership as the prize for subscribing. People will join.

Then, on launch day, you email the first X people with their membership details and offer everyone else a substantial discount. If you don't get some sales you're doing something seriously wrong

An added bonus with this process is that your free members will be a great source of positive comment and testimonials.

Here's the advice I give my coaching students.

Put your product on ClickBank and also make sure you have a blog online. Make sure your product has a solid affiliates page with all the tools needed to promote your product.

Now contact everyone in your niche via the ClickBank Marketplace and ask for a review copy of their product, tell them it's because you want to write a review and promote it on your blog.

Most vendors will have no problems providing you with a free copy and when they do the ice has been broken.

Write a solid review then get back to them to let them know, at this point mention your product and affiliate program and take things from there.

Does this method work every time? No, but it gets your foot in the door and if you can get some vendors to even respond to your initial email you're halfway there.

Just find joint venture partners yourself. There are tons of places to find them. Forums, JV giveaway sites, JV networks, popular sites in your niche, the list goes on.

    ahaha me too!!

I have started building my list. And also trying to find JV partners. One thing I am doing as a pre-launch strategy is releasing a free ebook. My product is in the ecommerce and online business marketing space.

I have gotten quotes from many leading experts in this space and compiled it into an ebook. Hopefully I will get free promotion help from these experts once I release the ebook.
