Ok, when does the traffic start?

Hi

I have been working on my blog for a couple of weeks now, and have got a fair bit of content on there.
I have just added tags to my posts, didn't see this until this morning, doh! Do tags make alot of difference to attracting traffic?
I am getting between 6 and 60 unique visitors per day at the moment, most of these are sent from trafficswarm and swom.
Do I need to tweak my content more, or are there other ways to increase my traffic?
Any tips appreciated, thanks

Angela

It is evident in your post that you have no understanding of SEO whatsoever.

    1. Tags are important.
    2. Write some forum and guest blog posts
    3. Share the info with your friends
    4. Make twitter, facebook etc.. social networking accounts and start adding friends. Also keep posting the links there.

Getting upwards of 60 uniques a day after only a couple of weeks isn't too bad. Your blog looks good as far as on page SEO so just keep doing what you're doing and keep adding content. You have the right idea. Do you use any sort of SEO plug-in, such as All In One SEO?

Don't stop at Articlesbase. Submit them to EzineArticles, Go Articles, Amazines and Idea Marketers as well. The more places you put them, the better.

First I would like to point out as I have also seen a few others mentioning it as well. Traffic coming from sites like traffic swarm and swom simply is not going to convert as you would like. It is always best to get a good steady stream of targeted traffic rather then traffic coming from people who are simply looking to increase the traffic to their own sites as well.

If you did proper keyword research you should be able to get that much traffic in just a few weeks from the search engines. Search engines are a thousand times more powerful then any traffic building site. Not to mention the traffic is going to convert ten times better.

Also keep in mind that when you place a link on a site like ts it will give you absolutely no weight for your site. Soley because none of the pages are indexed on that site. So you really need to focus on building links. The more links you can build the more traffic you can obtain. Since you say you are bringing traffic to your blog. You should be able to get a ton of links from articles alone. However there are many more ways of getting good links to your site. Always remember the more links you build the more free search engine traffic you can get along with the possible traffic from the place these links are located.

So, I can just copy and paste my articles on many of these sites? Cool!

Thank you for the info, I will stop wasting my time clicking on TS links, and start backlinking then.

      This place is wonderful!

      Hi infomaniacs!

Yes,tags are very important, you should tag your content.

      Other ways to increase traffic:

      -You could invite guest bloggers
-Cover great topics that need attention
-Reveal as much as possible offering content that's usually private.
      -Participate in forums
-Go to Technorati.com,sign up and add your blog.
-Attract Visitors adding your blog url to your signature
-Squidoo.com is another way to increase traffic, make a lens then add a link to your blog.

      Good luck!

Traffic exchanges like traffic swarm does not deliver targeted traffic. If you are the one writing the post of your blog then you should not have any problem writing articles as well. Make a habit of writing one article a day and then submit it ezine. Make couple of different version the same article and submit them to other directories and autoblogging systems. After certain time you will see increase in your blog backlinks and traffic. This method is proven and tested for many years.

I would definately stop wasting your time with traffic exchanges as the traffic is totaly untargeted and useless.

Use one of these profile backlink packages to get your links up, Set up squiddoo lens and try converting some of your articles into vids to upload to vid sharing sites and also convert them to pdf and upload them to doc sharing sites like docstock.

Just a few more ideas for you to think about.

You need to be targeting the right keywords and then back linking those reviews to get your review to #1 in the search engines.

For back linking, it's nice to have a diverse strategy - articles are good but also you could include blog commenting, press releases, social bookmarking and web2.0 properties.

If you do those things, you will get plenty of traffic...but, of course, all that takes time.

Keep building quality content and most
    importantly, keep networking.

You just need one link from someone you
got to know while networking to take your
    site off the ground.
