LinkedIn - finding old friends = more sales leads

I've been having fun this weekend looking up some old friends on LinkedIn.com. I already have 2 meetings scheduled with people that I knew more than 10 years ago. They are both doing well, and are interested in doing business with me. I've been looking in old phone books that I used to keep, and I've only just started. I can already tell this is going to be worthwhile and fun too. Anyone tried this?

    My brother recommended I join it as he uses it for work (consultancy director). I just joined last week.

    Yea, its weird talking to people you knew 10 years ago, but exciting to find our how they are doing. I've tried to stick to the people that I expected would have done pretty well. What I find interesting is the people I predicted would do well back then did well, and the people that were not doing so well back then, don't seem to be on the map now.
