G-Ambush, G-Massacre, G-Revenge, G-Payload, G-Assassin, G-Nemesis, G-Snatch...Spare Me! Now What??!!

No points for guessing that G stands for Google!

I was just wondering why can't people get more creative with their product names? Is it necessary to put the word "Google" every time in there? Even when it's not required?

These are just few of the launches i could think of. I am sure i have missed one or two!

Google Ambush
Google Massacre
Google Revenge (to be launched)
Google Payload
Google Assassin
Google Nemesis
Google Snatch
Google Conquest (prelaunch stage) - thank you Nathan J. Hockley for adding this to the list
Google Wealth Wizard

Let me be a bit creative and put on my thinking cap for a while.
I will not be surprised if in future we see launches like :

Google RIP
Google Attack
Google Grave
Google Graveyard
Google Death
Google Bandit
Google Pluderer
Google Looter
Google Thief
Google Killer
Google Annihilation
Google Eradication
Google Terminator
Google Liquidation (that was funny!)
Google Extinction
Google B*ttkicker
Google Euthanasia
Google Give-up-the-ghost ( i know, i am exaggerating!)

Contribution of ideas from tanya7zhou!:

Google Predator.......Ready for the kill?
Google Adversary
Google Conflict
Google Truth
Google Abomination
Google Retaliator
Google Vindicator
Google Skeleton
Google Fate
Google Archrival
Google Antagonist

Contribution of ideas from Nathan J. Hockley!:

Google Scavanger
Google Irritator
Google PimpSlap
Google G-Spot

Contribution of ideas from Chris Hunter!:

Google Taint
Google Crotch
Google Groin
Google Aneurysm
Google Googledy

Contribution of ideas from traces2757!:

Google Betrayer,
Google Road Rage,
Google Smackdown...

Contribution of ideas from Marian Berghes! (from another post):
Google Smasher,
Google Basher
Google Terrorizer

It seems people are just out there to capitalize on Google's name. Most of them talk about sinister things like killing Google! I know that the dark side attracts people, but come on! Aren't we over doing things here?

Hey, before you guys jump to any conclusions, let me tell you that i am not against any of these products. I have not used most of them, so can't comment on them.

What i do feel is that we can surely let Google Rest-In-Peace (no puns intended!) for some time, and be more creative!

    Don't count on it

As long as product names like that keep drawing in customers by the droves, they are going to be used.

Surprisingly, my subscribers don't even open mails that have got a subject line like "Google this" or "Google that".

Maybe it is just with me, but I really wonder if these Titles are doing as well as they once did.

    Hi Abhi,

It was creativity when the first Google (something) came out.
The next few are merely copying what already works instead
    of trying something new.

Nothing wrong with that - it's just smarter to not reinvent the
wheel. To us IMers, we're probably a little jaded by all the Google
doohickeys but to the not-so-discerning, it's gold.

I guess you are right. Those of us who are in this niche for a while, probably won't be attracted. But there is a constant influx of starry-eyed new-comers, and any sinister title like that would probably attract them most.

I thought it was a business discussion too, but then I was exposed to learning about this product. I'm thinking someone got the thesaurus out and came up with that word that means something else in some parts of the English world.

        Don't blame me...I didn't make the product! ;-)

Yeah mike, most of them are from the Day Job Killer team...Graphics are very well done, but i feel they have the same look and feel...black / brown background with dollar notes flying around...

I have known this guy to be a testing-freak. So i have no doubts that it is doing really well for his team!

After rudely hijacking the thread, I did want to talk about the intent of your post. I agree with you.

The "DJK team" baffles me. They keep releasing essentially the same thing and people keep buying it up. Each product is the answer to EVERYTHING and the SAME people keeping pulling out their virtual wallets, which is even more baffling.

They obviously have a plan to keep this working for them and that's good for them, but I doubt most people could pull something like this off.

Although i do not much endorse their products, i feel we can learn quite a few things from their marketing tactics.

If people get solid value out of a product they will generally constantly purchase products from the same person as they know they to be of high quality, even if 90% of stuff in the new product is rehashed content, they can still learn that new 10% from their favourite guru.

My guess is because they all work better than "...from hell" or "...of death"? But, seriously much like adding those terms to the end of just about anything for a heavy metal band works the terms used in those Google titles attract attention and work together fluidly. Much like the term 'secrets'. Does anyone here recall:

Advertising Secrets of the Written Word
    Traffic Secrets
    Yahoo! Answers Secrets
    Red Hat Linux Secrets
    ProBlogger Secrets
    Secrets of Closing the Sale

...the list goes on and on.

You really want to boost your noodle?

Go to Amazon.com, select the books department and type in any of the terms used to describe products in Abhi's post. I am sure you will be amazed at what you find.

Essentially you take a household name like Google, Yahoo!, eBay!, etc. attach one of those words to it and you have created a double whammy product description sort of speak.

Amazingly simple, amazingly effective, always has been, always will be.

Google Scavanger - Profit from the scraps everyone leaves behind!

Google Irritator - Like a pestering little brother... yeah you know the one.

Google PimpSlap - Give the Search Engines a Swift Backhander!

Google G-Spot - Give em what they need and profit!

But I have to say it works well. Good on em!

Alex Goad is behind Google Conquest... (High End - highly automated system) It is doing really well in prelaunch.

It will definately do well, he does well in every aspect from idea generation to taking it to market with mass appeal.

And who won't get behind a guy that has had 6 ClickBank #1's and 4 of them this year. When your system works well, the easier it is to have mass appeal with affilaites/promoters also.

This 'may be' a funny thread... but this thread will probably be good product name research for those involved in the google name game, and those thinking of doing the same.

We may or may not see, those google names stated thus far, as a product title, but they would definately help put on the thinking cap.

Google Snatch, it didn't snatch my interest

Google Conquest, will buy and will promote, awesome but tooooooo expensive! wrote a review about it

Google Wealth Wizard.. 2, concept is good but you need to use it wisely or risk getting your twitter account suspended
