How I Made $700 yesterday with Clickbank

Hi all,

I want to share with everyone a little "test" i made yesterday which worked great. If you are into PPC advertising or affiliate marketing pay close attention to what I did.

This is exactly How I made $700 yesterday (Nov.16, 2008)

You can copy my ads or do whatever you like, It was just a test in the MMO niche, (I will not use these specific ads anymore)

I made $700 profit with just 2 adwords ads and 2 clickbank products.

My Secret: the current recession is making people desperate buyers!
I spent around $125 on each Adwords campaign. (Daily budget was set at $300 for each campaign) and the only 2 keywords I used were the phrase keywords "make money online" and "make money internet".


AD #1 (I targeted the US only)

Recession Proof Business

Clickbank product used for this ad: Ewen Chia's Internet Wealth

AD#2 (I targeted the UK only)

Clickbank product used for this ad: Xtreme UK
(xxxx.richwahm.hop.clickbank.net)


As you can see, both ads are almost identical except for the 2nd ad (notice the £ gbp sign and "UK" at the end of the title). Both ads display 5 figure amounts, which is very attractive and makes people click. Overall, the 2nd ad performed better as it is a product targeted at the uk specifically, but the US ad did it's job.

I hope this post was useful to some, remember that PPC is dangerous if you don't monitor your campaigns every hour or so.

You mean you got about $1,000 in sale so minus off your the amount you spent on adwords - profit is $700 right?

How much did you bid for each keyword and which position were you occupying?

Search network, content network or placement targeted?

Max bid was set at $0.85 and the avg. cost per click was $0.42 with an avg position of 4. Search network and content network only.

You need a Landing page with good keywords (to get high quality score, hence lower ppc cost) and a BIG "Click Here to learn more" button (red preferably)

Sorry but I won't share my landing page.

Hint: just put the BIG red button and don't put any other link in the landing page. You need people to click your BIG red button! How Big? about 420 x 375 pixels.

P.S: CR refers to the percentage of visitors who visits the website into buy your product (ClickBank).

How are you getting people to your aff website if you can NOT use a redirect? Is there another way to do it?

When you go to make a new campaign and you need to put your display url and your destination url; in the display box put what ever you want usually a keyword or something, then in the destination box put your in your affiliate link. When somebody clicks on it they will be directed to your affiliate site. Hope this helps.

Just want to know one thing, in the landing page you have a little description with targeted keywords and a big red button saying "learn more click here" type thing...

But did you also collect name & email addresses? I just want to know b/c a few people told me that this will drop quality score ...

This is about the best kind of tip that you'll find around here.

In a sea of article marketing and backlink building (which I do as well don't get me wrong) this is a firecracker. This is how the super affiliates do it and it can be done over breakfast.

For those asking more specific questions... cut it out! He gave you everything you need right there and it'll work for any product.

Take $100 and try it on something and if you cant get $100 together you are in some serious trouble!

Well good job indeed, but its pretty easy to pull up the landing page and find out the actual adwords traffic from it and see where the spikes are as far as sales.

Not that I'm one for knocking anyone for spreading the goodness and having an abundance mindset, but $700 a day and "killing it", that's an ad and niche I'd stroke for a few weeks until the profits dropped before I gave that puppy up.

Just being honest. Something smells a bit fishy here. Like "Halibut fishy"

But hey if your doing it, then you got an instant info product on your hands that you better turn into a million dollar product launch.

The 2 product where $20 and $40
let's say he sold both product equally, that's 75% of $30 = $22.5 in commission!

That means he needed to sell about 45 products.

The average CPC was 0.41
He spent $300 which gave him about 712 clicks.

So from 712 clicks he got 45 people to buy the products.

That's a 6.3% conversion rate.

Is that something you can believe?

Even with a tremendous landing page those click costs are too low for those keywords. I really do hate to punch a gift horse in the mouth but my B.S. detector is firing.

Spyfu tells us that the average cost per click for "make money online" is between .57 and a buck 75 and this guy's ad is not optimized for quality.

Notice the keywords are nowhere to be found in the ads which means he'd probably be paying higher than average costs based on that alone.

This doesn't add up.

Newbies: Please do not get involved in PPC until you've delved deeply into Perry Marshall's stuff, or possibly PPC Coach and achieved success with keywords far less competitive than "make money online".

First off, I think it's pretty cool that you tried to share a
method with everyone here. It's a breath of fresh air amidst
all the other stuff we see here.

However, I won't lie and say I do have my doubts. Not trying
to put pressure on you or anything, but why not post a screenshot
of the day that you made the $700 to squash everything that everyone
is saying?
