A Question about Amazon...

Hi all,

Please forgive this question if it seems dumb and put it down to my being a complete newbie to this internet marketing thing

I have a question regarding Amazon affiliation.

If I am resident in the UK can I still become an Amazon US affiliate and if so, how does the tax get sorted out?

If, on the other hand, I can't do this, can I trade throughout Europe with Amazon or am I only allowed to sell in the UK?

I hope this question wasn't too silly. Thanks in advance for your advice on this matter.

Yes you should be able to sign up to Amazon.com affiliate. I am in Australia and am an affiliate with Amazon.com.

Not sure how the tax works for you in the UK - sorry can't help you with that bit!

You're allowed to enter into Amazon UK associate program. You have a drop down menu at the top of amazon associate site, use this menu to redirect yourself to UK site of amazon associate.

Banks in UK take 10E or something for withdrawal, so never set for anything less than 100$. Some people set it to 500$ or 1000$ in order to avoid this big cut in small earning check.

Just sign-up with as many of the Amazon Associates sites as you want. You can do as you like, nothing bad will happen! Note the different areas Amazon Associates programs are all separate and earnings can not be aggregated, so you need to be confident of hitting the minimum payout threshold for each.
Any income will have to be declared to the IR the same as any other self-employed earnings.
