Best alternatives to budurl?

It seems that Budurl is down too often...

What alternatives you recommend?

Thanks

Anything that you own and control yourself.

To put it mildly, it's not sensible at all to rely on the continued availability, goodwill, reliability and changeable terms of service of any third-party URL-shortening service.

There were a few hundred Warriors here last year who would have told you the same when all their Tinyurl links suddenly disappeared overnight.

And if anyone tells you that "bit.ly's not going anywhere", just invite them to read this recent post on Ben Metcalfe's blog: The .ly domain space to be considered unsafe | :Ben Metcalfe Blog.

Be in control of your own business and not dependent on unnecessary services you can't control!

I agree with Alexa (normally do for some reason )

There are plenty of redirection scripts/tutorials out there that will allow you to have your own redirect URL on your own domain.

Do these redirects give you so much information as budurl does? where clicks come from (web - mail...)

      thanks for your answers

It like bit.ly. I always use it. It's super easy.

And yes it is best to have your own domain and redirect using that, but if you don't bit.ly is in my opinion the best.

I use bit.ly. Has not let me down once. Adf.ly offers you money to put their links out.
