Ping Article Submissions

Sure this is a dumb question but I haven't seen it addressed so what the heck.

I am trying to put together a routine for handling articles (post on your own site, make it into video, submit to video sites, submit article to article sites, etc.) and was wondering.......

I have read here that you should ping the post after putting it up on your blog but do you also ping after the article is accepted and placed on the article site? Do you ping that location, too?

Would that benefit you at all?

Anyone that cares to share their routine is much appreciated as well.

Pinging gets the bots and crawlers to the desired page faster. It takes at the most a few minutes to ping a certain site so why not do it? Also you are correct it is important to ping your blog anytime there is new content or a change.

      I appreciate the input.

I have been pinging my own blog posts and think I have a pretty good understanding on how that works.

I was just wondering if pinging the article sites once they approve and post will actually make a difference or if it is a waste of time.

Yes, by the way, I AM in the Witness Protection Program. I could tell you who I am but then I would have to kill you.
