What products or techniques are you using to make money today in (2010) online? Is there a specific product or technique that really works?

    Yeah, I know, it's the same old same old answer.

    But it's true, there are a zillion ways to make money online and the people people that fail are people that don't try.

    I have websites that have been inactive for years, have 404 errors are just overall horrible. Yet once in a while, out of nowhere they produce a sale.

    Just pick one and start taking action. They all work (to varying degree).

    The above-mentioned will definitely work. They are fundamentals to earn money online. You need to do niche research to identify what are people are looking for/needing. You can apply for affiliate marketing after this step. Once you have done this, you need to choose good and competitive keywords. When you have done this, you turn them into a keyword rich content. Submit your content to different article directories and link them to your site. You can generate traffic and potential earnings.

    Find out what people want and then sell it to them. If you sell something for $20 make sure it offers $200+ worth of value. Once you have a list of customers then sell them more stuff. Never give up offering massive value.

    To some extent EVERY product and technique works. Maybe not to the level that the creators claim but I am sure that they DO "work". There really is nothing special about one thing or another, its all how you apply what you have.

    The successful marketers are always on the cutting-edge of everything and are DOING something. If you don't try, nothing will work.

    Stop looking for the "secret formula". There are plenty of people willing to sell it to you but you'll just end up with a thinner wallet and more frustrated than ever.

    If you think the answers you are getting are a little brief and short on content that would be because that question has been asked and answered a gazillion times on this forum - the thing that works is the plan you make, using a system or product, to give something to somebody else that wants it, for payment.

    Or in other words, article marketing, affiliate marketing, video marketing, product creation and promotion, CPA... the list goes on. Search for any of these terms on this forum and you will find a heap of free good information from people who are actually making money with these methods and more.

      Right now?

      A couple of things:

      Content Writing - This is my day to day, bread and butter moneymaker. The only problem is that it requires a pretty big investment of time on my part, and the money keeps coming in only so long as I keep getting work. Not a bad deal, but any means, but I'm developing other income streams to supplement it long term. Speaking of which...

      Promoting CPA in the Real World: Actually, only the one CPA offer. I've found two great markets that I go after using, mostly, flyers. This has actually been extremely lucarative for me, even though I do have to drive a bit to get the flyers where I want (a downside to living in the boonies) but the nature of the markets is such that I get, basically, two big shots of income a year.

      Fire and Forget Blogs: Not at all dissimilar to the Zombie Blogging Technique John Schwartz and Caliban Darklock did a product on (and have a very long thread about - Build Your Blog Empire For Free), which is where I got the idea from, but using different platforms and a different monetization model. This is actually working well for me and, as the name implies, is a genuinely passive income stream.

      I'm putting the finishing touches on my first product and setting up a new subscription based service, so I should be seeing some money from those.

    Selling what has demand. There are many methods and techniques to follow but the principles will always be the same. Find a niche or even a sub-niche with a huge demand and then stand in front of those people with better marketing. You can do this through affiliate marketing, joint ventures, email marketing, etc.

    Coaching. People always need coaching. My favorite way of getting coaching clients is to:

    Just create a sales page with what you have to offer and what you can help your potential client accomplish. Make sure to have an order form with paypal for example.

    Do a live webinar training. It can be about anything in online marketing. After 60 minutes of free training in your webinar, start talking about why coaching is so important and how your coaching program can help your attendee. If you have 20 people on a live webinar, you can get at least 1 coaching client.

    You can also record the webinar and send subscribers to watch for the rest of time. It's powerful.

    I am taking a new approach that has proved to be more successful for me. I spent a couple years trying to learn, understand and implement all the technical stuff. I'm glad for what I learned, but I found it was never ending. So now I no longer waste that time and energy. I work with ready made and no stress and I seem to be profitting more now.

    Pretty much everything works, if you go about it the right way.

    I get most of my traffic directly from search-engines (due to doing SEO), and monetise predominantly with Google AdSense, Amazon Associates and Infolinks.

    But now I'm getting into list-building and Clickbank product affiliate marketing, too.

    Another way in which I've earned money from my online endeavours recently: I've started receiving a few free physical products from manufacturers (or those in charge of their marketing campaigns) to review on my niche sites. I get to keep the products, which in some cases means I can sell them (used, obviously) and pocket the money from them.

      I agree with the posters that say just do something. Jumping from idea to idea to idea and never completing because something better comes along will not get you anywhere. I'm preaching to myself.

      What I have started doing is actually going through all the stuff that I've purchased. I'm giving it a fair shake. If it works I'm continuing with it.

      The things that are working best for me right now are:

      1. Finding the right niche & keywords. That's been half the battle.
      2. Autoblogging.
      3. Videos
      4. Twitter.
      5. Article marketing.

    There are many techniques that currently work. The key is (especially if you're a beginner) to focus on just one until you see results, before moving on to something else. Don't get afflicted with the "bright shiny object" syndrome, where you jump from system to system without fully implementing anything. One thing that is guaranteed then is you won't see any results with anything!

    Like above, all methods require the same thing, traffic + product = cash

    And obviously the things in between such as tweaking and so forth.

    But each technique either requires you leave a mark where you get tons of passing eyes I.E

    Offline marketing could mean leaving an ad in a local newspaper that gets plenty of eyes, or the search engine rankings which again gets passing eyes.

    The other way is to go where the eyes hang-out I.E

    Offline marketing could be a shopping mall, and online could be a forum, a facebook page, a chatroom and anything else where a pair of eyes may hang out.

    Every product needs the same variables to succeed.

    And every product can use both passing eyes or static eyes (aka a hang-out area)

    lol, passing eyes and static eyes xD what will I think off next.

    But on closing, when you can see IM like this, it becomes very very simple. Atleast in my head it does.

    Honest opinion nobody going to tell you the exact niche, product that make money, that's like asking somebody for their ETM card, if their do give you a niche, most likely not targeting that niche.
