How would you distribute 5000 words worth content for promotion of your site ?

Your blog + article site 1 + article site + squidoo/hubpages ?

Your blog + squidoo + article site + classifieds/forums ?

All to your blog ?

All article sites ?

Confused as to what combo to be used :confused:

    You could also create videos from the content by just reading the material and post that to youtube and other video sharing sites, create podcasts from the videos and post them to podcasting sites and use twitter and facebook to tell people about the content.

      All to your blog first.

      Then to the article directories. Some of them may not want duplicate content, so read the terms.

      If you want to post unique articles to article directories, spin your articles.

      When linking from article directories, link to a blog page that contains a different article.

    1. A 5,000 word SUPER-article

    2. 2 or 3 (or more) smaller articles on major directories

    3. A series of themed blog posts on your own blog

    4. Shorter snippets with links back to all above (on Web 2.0 sites)

    5. A Squidoo lens with part of the content, linking back

    6. A Hubpages page with another part of the content, also linking back

    7. A PDF version of the document on Scribd.com, DocStock.com and others

    8. If you're selling stuff, make it a rebrandible PDF with affiliates inserting their links

    9. Read out portions of it and create an audio file - make it a podcast or radio show (see Internet Radio | Create an Online Radio Show | Blog Talk Radio )

    10. Record yourself reading a part of it (or make a slideshow presentation) and put it on video sites including YouTube

    And there are more ways to use content

    I would put all on the blog first, than use it with a bit of rewrite on Squidoo.

    Promotion should be done on daily basis. For daily activity for a website it requires 1 article, 1 blog for website, forum postings, classified posts and on weekly basis you can create a squidoo/google knol and post at hubpages.

    Well as long as I keep that piece of meat in my mouth ( my sig file pic), I try to resist just about anything to keep me focused....

    that said, I hear the thread starter (ashishthakkar) asking "you're saying you've followed Jeffrey Lant's advice NOT to start to write an article until you thought of 23 different ways to put it to use!. You just mentioned 10 in your post....how about the other 13?"

      Here are a few more, then (hey, I've *got* to keep some in store for later!)

      * turn a part of it into a guest blog post

      * beef up sections and make it a full length ebook (or this could be one chapter)

      * print the book and publish it (POD like CreateSpace.com make it easy)

      * turn it into a PowerPoint presentation and distribute it

      * use it as a hand-out for seminar attendees (JV with event organizers)

      * make it a booklet and JV with physical product vendors to include 'in the box'

      * convert it into software (!), and distribute it on software directories!
      (Hint: Screensavers are one)

      * break it up to use as ezine issues (load it into your autoresponder)

      * make it a multi-part article, and publish it across many websites/blogs

      * offer it as a list-building incentive

      Ok, that's enough to keep anyone busy for a while

    I would suggest:

    First make the list bit shorter by blending keywords to each other, coz when you promote your website for 10 - 15 keywords, it gets optimized for more than 25 - 30 keywords automatically. for example if you have keywords like:

    link
    building
    link building firm
    link building service
    link building services
    link building company
    link building company california

    you better create a list like:
    1. link building company california
    2. link building services or so

    optimizing website (of less than 100 - 150 pages) for 5000 keywords can never be a good idea and if you have more than 200 pages then you can do it this ways.

    1. some keywords for your blogs
    2. few for website
    3. web 2.0 websites
    4. link popularity building
