Please don't use the WF article forum, I don't need the competition!

A friend, Britt Malka, notified me of the new article section of the warrior forum last week. And initially I was put off by the $60 dollar price tag. In the end I gave it a shot and I have no reason to regret that decision. Here's why.

They all say the money is in the list right?

Well, that must be why I have failed to quit my dayjob. I suck at listbuilding! No seriously, I do!

If you ever see me promoting anything related to list building please feel free to punch me in the face :-)

I would say, by publishing articles on EZA, that I have generally been able to add 1 or 2 new members to my list on a monthly basis. That's right! a maximum of 2 members a month! And itøs not because I'm not publishing articles regularly. In fact, I'm publishing articles as often as time allows. And I still have a day job, so I admit that's not a lot of time!

Anyway, back to the WF article forum. I gave it a shot. Posted 4 articles on Friday, and 4 yesterday. So far I have had 10 people sign up for my list. That's 5 months of my previous strategy in one weekend!

Impressive! Probably not, but it goes to show that the WF forum is far more efficient than the IM categories on EZA.

So, please don't sign up. I don't need the added competition :-)

Seriously though, I do want you to sign up. The articles section is doing wonders for me and I want to make sure that Allen keeps it going!

How much are you willing to pay for a new list member? So far the price is $6 per lead for me and that number will get even lower in the coming days.

Previously it took you 6 months to get 10 leads ? No offense but you may want to find a system that delivers atleast 50-200 leads per day.

I told you I sucked at it

Just saying that the WF article forum has made it a lot easier for me. Sure there are lot's of things I need to do to improve my listbuilding (Many, many, many things ), but it's nice to find something that's a definite step in the right direction.

I had a hard time getting leads, too. If I could afford the article forum, I would get it in a heartbeat. In the end, I couldn't even afford to pay for my GetResponse account, and I lost all of the leads I had built up. No big deal, it was only about 50 people. I ended up paying GR for over a year for 50 leads that never bought anything.

I agree with his post the Warriorforum article section is definitely the way to go if your an avid article marketer.

6 months to get 10 leads damn somethings wrong there....

I think your problem is traffic or a bad opt-in form or offer something needs changing.

Just keep pumping out those articles on here and see what is working for your list building efforts.

Maybe I need to be a little more specific before it turns into a thread about me sucking at listbuilding

I truly suck at it when it comes to articles, at least articles posted to EZA. However, I do just fine with the products I create, that's one of the things I love doing and believe I'm fairly good at. I create as many as time allows, would like to do more, but that's something I can work on.

I also do reasonably well with my blogs.

What I seem to have less success with my articles, at least those posted at EZA. That's where I'm saying that I find the WF article forum to be far more efficient and I'm loving it so far!

    Just to clarify

I loved your post it was honest and had believable figures, many of us are going to be like you getting very few list members at first.

The IM Niche though is a hugely competitive market so getting that many leads is impressive I think.... Congrats

Congrats on your success! It looks like the article section will be a great place to test what works. Thanks for the encouraging thread.

    Thank you Cathy and Ruth!

I know I'll definitely do my best to publish the 5 articles I'm allowed to each day. And I agree this is going to be a great place to test what works and what doesn't.

I like your honest post, Mike.

Topgunb, true, giveaways has been working earlier. I don't know if they still do, or if people are too used to them and don't sign up.

George Phillip, I totally disagree with you. It's not the size of the list, but its magic powers ;-) In other words: A small, but responsive list is worth much more than just a huge list of not interested people. So you cannot just say: You need 50 per day. 1 per day could be more valuable, if they are loyal, and just waiting to receive your next email.

I have been studying the articles being posted on in the Article section.

Here are a couple of observations that I think some writers are not picking up on.

Well let me just give you the idea. The following are titles to some of the articles in the new article section.

    Now don't be lazy!

Google each one of these titles taken from the Article section and look at the results.

How to Write Content For Your Blog in Less Than 20 Minutes a Day!

How To Write A Review That Sells Ebooks

    Does Autoblogging Really Work?

How to Write Faster So You Can Earn More

Internet Marketing Mentor -- do you need one?

I could go on but the point I am trying to make is pretty obvious.

Don't just think of a title that will catch Warrior Forum members to view do a little keyword research and get a title that will rank on Google!

Who on earth would search for something and see a forum result as number one and not click it! Every one knows forums are full of free information and the perception is that there is no hard selling so you slip right under many peoples marketing radar!

Don't think about the views you will get from people already on the Warrior Forum, think about how to phrase your titles so Google give you some love!

The correct title with the traction that a top 500 site gives you is a gold mine!

Thank me later please. = )

PS: The whole forum gets this kind of traction. hint hint

I do a lot of it... AND one of the titles is mine, I believe

Article writing is PART of an overall keyword and SEO strategy.
Studying the Articles forum itself can be a useful exercise - but
first, you've got to identify the people who are using it in a
strategic way, or you'll miss learning some powerful lessons.

      All success

If you are in the IM niche - then Ezinearticles isn't for you.

Some people in this thread wanted to jump on your seeming inability to get leads from article marketing - but what they must of overlooked is that ezinearticles is a poor place to get IM traffic.

Not saying it's impossible - but it is very poor.

The reason you have experienced like a 10 fold difference in success is because this forum and it's SEO powers are VERY targeted to IM. Thus - bigger success.

Just letting you know that - don't beat yourself up too hard.

      Hi Rob,

I'm not beating myself up at all! I know some people are more experienced and more successful than me, but that's not going to stop me. We all have to start somewhere right!

The fact is, when you're starting out there is a big chance that you don't have unlimited amounts of time or money to invest in your business. That means you have to take it one step at a time and accept that progress won't be as fast as you would like. That's life!

The mistake, imo, would be to throw in the towel. That will never happen for me!

The articles section of this forum has been a huge revelation for me as have many of your products. I won't be able to post 5 articles a day, and some days I won't be able to post any articles at all. Other obligations simply get in the way.

That's why it's great to see results from whatever efforts I'm able to make. The point of the original post was simply to promote the articles section as a golden opportunity that has yielded great results for me so far. That's not to say I can't get better at it off course I can! And that's what I'll be working on.

There have been some great suggestions in this thread, suggestions I'll definitely take a look at when time allows. Right now, I'll be focusing the time available on perfecting my article marketing skills. The new forum section will be a big part of those efforts!

Once again thank you all for the (mostly) very encouraging replies.

      Mike
