Internet Marketing Regrets

I just wanted to pass along a bit of information here. I've been earning a solid income online for 7 years now. I have a few regrets.

I regret the fact that I did not start networking with others sooner. There's a lot of value in business relationships and just talking to others. This could possibly open up a new world of knowledge.

I regret having a closed mind and being stubborn. I always wanted to do things on my own. It's extremely difficult to live comfortably working from home full time without some form of help. So now, I outsource a lot of my work. It seems a lot of time and frustration. This has enabled me to spend more time with my family and it's allowing me to work on other things. Whenever you get a chance, please outsource.

Heh, yea it's funny looking back and thinking "damnit, if only I'd done that sooner ", heed this advice anyone starting out (and I'm just starting to take it onboard myself):

    - Network
    - Outsource
    - Focus on one strategy at a time
    - Focus on one project at a time
    - Stick with it until it succeeds
    - Rinse and repeat

Thanks for this post man, you've probably helped many people avoid making the same mistakes

    Cheers, Tim

Yeah, good post for all those who are still trying to do everything for free. Although I know for some people you need to look at free methods for a while, in reality, nothing is free as it costs TIME. An easy way for people to get their resourcing feet wet is to outsource article writing. Then, in my case at least, outsourcing became addictive ;-)

      I Love Outsourcing. Why?

Because it makes me more money?

No. The money is good, the money is really good, but no.

Becuase it frees up my time?

Not really. I'm pretty much a workaholic anyway. I dont' know what to do with myself when I'm not working, but no, that's not it either.

The REAL reasons I love outsourcing are:

1.) It truly gives me the 'feeling' that I'm multi-tasking with the most efficient and streamlined system in the world.

Now, this may be my 'illusion' since I'm not doing all the work, but it makes me 'FEEL' like I'm doing more which satisfies my workaholic tendencies. In the corporate world, this would be micro-managing, but hey, that's just me. God is in the details, right?

2.) It gives me the opportunity to help other people who are trying to make money online, start their own business, earn a little extra money, etc. I often end up taking my outsourcers to the next level of business just via e-mail and instant message chats.

3.) I make loads of new online and offline friends everyday, all because of outsourcing.

My biggest regret was not reading an outsourcing guide first. I spent a lot of money having things done that I wasn't happy with in the end and letting it give me a sour taste for outsourcing in the beginning.

P.S. Even regrets serve a higher purpose. Perhaps a free report on the subject might a help a newbie avoid the regrets we've all faced. You could use this thread as your starting point to create the report and I bet a lot of newbies would thank you for it.
