Once Ive Built A list.....

I am planning to build a list of a few 1,000 but after that how would i manage it, and market to them....

I am focusing on building a list on weight loss, once I have enough people to market to, then how do I market to them exactly, can I outsource the email stuff?? until I learn how to do it myself....

thanks in advance

What platform are you planning to use? Aweber?

Why is your list only a few 1000 people?

Here's a route you can take:

Buy a PLR pack regarding weight loss. Edit the pack a bit and sprinkle some solutions oriented affiliate products throughout. Put it in an auto-responder that will go out to your list on a schedule. Sit back. Collect money.

A bit oversimplified. But it works.

    Hi AffiliatePro,

You need to have a way to automatically content them, like using an AutoResponder service. That way you can send broadcast emails to your entire list or set up follow up email sequence that they will get and regularly scheduled intervals.

With the follow up sequence, there is really no need to outsource it. Once you set it up once, it's good to go

      1. Get a service like aweber
      2. Get your site up on the web (blog or what ever)
3 Provide valuable information and articles on your site
      4. Create a "free report" worth 47 dollars or what ever
      5. Load the free report up to a hidden area on your hosting
      6. Go into aweber and create the sign up form
      7. Put the sign up form on your site - and a call to action to get them to sign up to your list, IE: "Sign up today for your free weight loss this week Report. Exclusive report you won't find anywhere else on the web - a 47 dollar value

      8. Customer confirms their subscription, and the first automated response that goes out has a link taking them to download their free report
      9. Follow up messages are added with additional free advice to help them with their problem
      10. At the appropriate time, you email them to tell them of a great book you found and why they should add this to their weight loss arsenal/journey

I think avenuegirl has nailed down the solid steps.

The key question to ask yourself is WHY do your subscribers join your list?

What benefits or solutions they are looking? What are their problems, desires and fears?

If you can answer those fundamentals, then you start to know what to give to your subscribers.

You want to give what they want...and build a trustworthy relationship with them by giving them valuable information and solutions. Along that line, you can pick a point to monetize with your own product or affiliate promotions.

And you can start to swap JV promotions with other list owner when you have a good size of list (at least 1,000)

Building a list AND a good relationship with the list is the most important asset you can leverage to make money again and again.

        • Hi

As ever you have been given some great advice here from others. The one thing I would add, is to not neccessarily wait until the list is built before you start marketing to your subscribers.

I'm a great believer in making your business pay for it self as soon as possible, and a great way to do this is by offering one time only offers. In other words, when your subscriber has entered their details and clicked on the submit button, rather than sending them to the standard AR page, get them going to an offer.

Now obviously the offer has to be good and very much related to the freebie. However with a decent offer, not only will you get the names on your list, but you will also earn in the process (at the least you should be able to cover your business expenses).

Which ever route you go down I wish you all the very best.

          All the best

          Andrew

Forget about a product. Send your list members good information for free. Let them get to know you before selling them anything. Then, when you do recommend something, make sure that it is something that you truly believe will help them. Gain their trust and they will buy what you recommend. Rush into it by just shoving ads down their throat and they will abandon you faster than my prom date slipped out of her prom dress.

Actually all of this should be in place at the point of your very first subscriber. Whether your list is one person or the thousands you speak of your funnel should be in place and ready to go. You must treat you first subscriber as your 100,001th subscriber.

In you case, what you could do is get your hands on a series of PLR articles that you can arrange into a double opt in autoresponder series forming an informative e-mail course.

As mentioned before, sprinkle it with affiliate links and have a solid follow up series.

Once they have received all of this, blast them every once in a while from then on.

I actually separated my funnel from my newsletter so that new subscribers could be worked up slowly before getting blasted.
